  • So I drove through the night, to get here before sunrise. Unfortunately the trail is closed until the visitor center is open, which was after sunrise. I was able to race down the trail and see why some 120-200 Navajo called this home at one point. It is perfectly placed to get shade through morning and a spring is nearby.

Hotel is highly maintained and very clean. It was built in 1962. Kayenta Monument Valley Inn take a good care of own property, hotel and own customers! Staff are highly professional and assisting us. Breakfast was delectable. We learnt several greetings in Navajo Nation language. HAGOONEE'.

It was less expensive than the only other option in Kayenta that is across the street. It's a fine place to stay, quiet, safe, rooms are clean, near the highway.

We were put on a corridor with all the construction workers who were installing cable for WiFi. They began work drilling at 6:30 a.m. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. We won’t return.
