"Super cute motel with gorgeous views. Rooms were cedar and don’t have a way to open the doors so be prepared for the smell (not bad but strong). I wish I would have upgraded to a room with a view because it’s was stunning. Fire place and pool both super nice. Staff was really nice and it was so convenient to walk anywhere. Breakfast was unexpected and a really nice grab and go. Def would stay here again."

"Bel endroit. Un peu vieillot par contre. Quand nous sommes arrivés la porte était déjà ouverte nous avons trouvé cela très étrange. Sinon c’était bien le petit déjeuner continental est bien garni."

"Our stay in the resort's Waterfront collection was great! The Junior suite was literally on the water with beautiful views. It's a large room with gas fireplace, jetted tub, separate shower, dual sinks and a comfortable king bed. Nearby Black Bear restaurant on Main St. was a favorite, with only a two minute walk for great food. We didn't have the chance to use their kayaks or paddleboats, but did take advantage of the hot tub and indoor pool in the Lake House for post-hikes recovery. This was the one area clearly in need of renovation. Overall, the High Peaks Resort's Waterfront collection is now one of our top choices to stay in Lake Placid."
