Cute lakeshore getaway
We visited in early April to see the solar eclipse. The house was cozy, cute and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, the views of the lake are lovely, and the eclipse was spectacular. The property is clearly optimal for summer use, and in early spring we couldn't take advantage of all of its amenities and advantages. Would love to come back sometime in warmer weather. A couple of things to be aware of: It's a long and steep set of stairs from the parking area to the house -- definitely not for anyone with mobility issues or difficulty carrying things. The road is very quiet, but there's an active train line just on the other side, so there were occasional loud train whistles at all hours.

Beautiful location, crashing waves to fall asleep to, beautiful sunrise and songbirds in the morning. The house warmed up quickly when the weather turned colder.

Lakefront Views
Beautiful views from secluded lakefront property, the house took full advantage with huge window sliding doors which was great for getting fresh air. There were a couple of stairs going down from the parking area to house and from house to beach, probably not ADA accessible so keep that in mind when booking. Families and weak swimmers should bring their own life vests as none were provided for the boats. Definitely bring groceries, closest shopping center is a 30 min drive away. Not sure if off season but the port kent ferry was not operating to burlington. Wine enthusiasts should visit vineyard nearby, it has beautiful views too.

Loved the property but access was not handicap friendly. All of us are in our 70’s and 2 of us had a hard time with the multitude of stairs. It would have been nice to know how many stairs there were before renting. Also water craft were not manageable.

Lake house 2023
We had a wonderful stay at the property and recharged with kayaking and swimming. Lake Champlain was very clean and relatively warm this week. Hopeful to return next year!

Great quiet getaway
Perfect getaway from the craziness of our daily lives!! The views are amazing! Kids loved the water even thought it was cold!! Beautiful location to relax and unwind.

Lake House in the Springtime
The house was perfect for our family vacation. The view of the lake from the deck was so nice to see every morning, afternoon, and evening. There were plenty of outdoor chairs for us and our family.

Paradise on Lake Champlain
This house is on the most idillic spot on the lake. It is on a quiet, dead end street with a spectacular view and crystal clear water. The house is well laid out. The owner was was quick to respond to questions and request.

What a relaxing week we had on the lake. The location was perfect for us. The house was comfortable. It was one of those hot, humid weeks, so we were very happy that the house had air conditioning! Overall, a great stay!

Great extended Family Lake Vacation

Peaceful and beautiful lakeside home
The views from this home are absolutely incredible!! And the private rocky beach was so nice. We loved taking the kayaks out on the lake. The home was very clean, bright, and airy. We enjoying sipping our morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the deck. The hosts made our stay easy and we felt at home right away. We hope to be back someday! Thanks again!

Hillside house on Lake Champlain
The house was clean. It is located on a steep hillside overlooking Lake Champlain. The view was beautiful. The hillside location lead to a couple of challenges. The driveway was VERY STEEP with a hairpin turn. There were reflectors to help guide you. There was space for one car at the top of the hill to park at the roadside. There were 32 steps from the parking area to the house and a similar number from the house to the water. The house provided two sit on top kayaks for our use, along with a paddle boat which were stored at beach area. My grandchildren enjoyed using them. There was a stone beach with very clear water; remember your water shoes. The house was on a quiet, dead end road. There was a heat pump available for air conditioning or heat as needed but we had a refreshing breeze off the lake.

Lovely stay over Memorial Day Weekend
My husband, dog and I stayed over Memorial weekend. House was clean and access to the lake was fantastic. Lots of great amenities such as kayaks, paddle board which we didn’t use. Communication with property owner was great and quick. Overall very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed the home and surrounding area. Beautiful views. Driveway very steep so nervous drivers will want to warned. Glad I arrived during the daylight. There are reflector markers for night time.

Lovely, clean and comfortable
The property was very comfortable for a small group of friends doing a quick weekend trip - wish we had had more time to enjoy the beautiful spot on Lake Champlain but even so, the views at sunrise were breathtaking and the home was comfortable and spotless. Kaitlin was easy to communicate with and was very gracious and considerate - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider this spot again.

Perfect get Away with friends
Beautiful views right on the lake. We met up with friends we haven't seen all year for a 3 night get away. The property is in a perfect location close to areas of interest and just a short trip via ferry over to Vermont. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the water toys. Would love to come back in warmer weather.

Outstanding October Fall Foliage on the waterfront
My family wanted to stay at a waterfront getaway with an amazing view to visit my son at Plattsburgh University. The home was just perfectly decorated with beachy colors, sea glass and a lake theme. It was very clean, updated and inviting! The view is spectacular of the water and mountains! Sitting on the covered swing was so utterly stunning-I could feel my body decompress. The weather was so wonderful that were able to use the paddle boat. We had a fire and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit down on the beach each night. It was quiet and peaceful. Slept to the sound of the lapping water which compared to beach waves as the wind picked up at night. It was so lovely. I highly recommend a stay! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

My family and I were so excited about renting this beautiful property for my family reunion. I checked every detail knowing the fact that there were numerous stairs. No information in words or pictures indicated the steep cliff and driveway needed to navigate to reach the stairs. Fear for my safe entrance to property stairs mandated that I ask for a refund of my paid in full fee for property taxes, cleaning etc. I immediately contacted property owners and management of VrBo according to their written procedures and Book with Confidence guarantee. Talked to owners several times beginning in advance. They would not agree with refund of any kind even things like cleaning fees for a property we could not safely enter. I have spent hours with VRBO "Book with Confidence guarantee" protection management for our refund because of lack of adequate description of safe accessibility of property. No monetary satisfaction for our large payment has been given. The mental stress caused to my family is tremendous. My vacation savings are tied up in a property that was not adequately presented. I am still negotiating this matter with VRBO.

Hi Judith, You contacted us less than a week before your stay regarding this matter, and, as I stated in our MANY conversations, there is no steep hill to walk down. You can drive down to the steps which are level with the driveway. We also offered you the opportunity to use our neighbors driveway in order to walk across level ground to the front door. I told you we would gladly replace another guest reservation if you or we could find someone to take your place but again, with less than a week's notice the chances of doing so were low. We have a firm cancellation policy, clearly listed on our website, and as a business we stand true to that policy for ALL of our guests. Regarding your cleaning fee, you sent me a message the morning of your reservation requesting the lockbox code, which led me to believe you would be staying at the property. This prompted me to send my cleaning team the day of your supposed "check-out" so they could prepare for our next guests. Had you told me you would not be staying at the property, I would have gladly refunded you your cleaning fee. We do feel bad that you were unable to stay at the property, however, our pictures clearly show the house is on a hill and there are steps leading down to the house. Our listing also reads wheelchair inaccessible. We have spoken with VRBO and they assured us that our listing is not misleading in any way. We have not received any complaints prior to this. Nice Place
Overall a great place to stay. It was clean and we'll stocked with amenities excepting a dishwasher. I strongly recommend adding a dishwasher especially if you expect folks to leave the dishes cleaned. A bit odd to require quarters to use the washer/dryer but I had such a short stay it didn't matter to me. The proximity to the lake was great. Unfortunately there is a tain track with night time trains very close to the house. Overall a nice place but a bit pricey.

So beautiful!
We stayed at this beautiful house last weekend - had an awesome time! The house was very clean, and the layout was perfect for us (my husband and I stayed in the room downstairs and our friends and their 9 yr old daughter had the upstairs). The stairs to get to the house were a little challenging, but the house itself and view more than make up for it! We'd definitely recommend staying here.

Simply wonderful.
The house is clean, clean, clean and just adorable. We loved the two bedrooms up and one bedroom down as well as the two separate living rooms. We couldn't figure out how to work the Chromecast although homeowner said she would talk us through it. But we didn't need it. Time was better spent on the beach, roasting marshmallows! This was a perfect spot to unwind during the pandemic. There are stairs down from driveway to house and then from house to beach, but we all needed the exercise.

Late summer getaway
We had a great time! The lakefront is wonderful and definitely allows for you to take advantage of lots of outdoor activities. We also enjoyed the house and the ability to cook for ourselves while we were there. Our only recommendation would be to have additional living room furniture upstairs. There were limited places to sit and hang out in the evenings without a living room table or more than one couch and chair. Overall, we loved our stay, and we’d definitely recommend to others.

We had a really nice time. Great views of the lake and a clean, neat, well-appointed cottage. Used the kayaks to paddle around the clean lake. Very close to lots of good hikes. Be advised, there are a lot of stairs from the driveway to the house and down to the lake.

Great family vacation

Lake side honeymoon
We booked this lovely cottage a week in advance. The property owners were very accommodating of us. Owners had Very good communication prior to check in. House is right on lake. Three sets of stairs down made carrying a weeks worth of stuff and a kayak a little difficult. But worth it. The house is newly redone. Two bedrooms upstairs and bathroom and open living room and kitchen. Then A bedroom and bath downstairs. Bring lots of quarters and laundry detergent as it’s quite expensive for one load. Shampoo and conditioner provided in both bathrooms in dispensers. Another hike down to the water but We were allowed use of kayak and paddle boat which we used to venture the two miles to the nearby island. The beach is rocky and they put out their dock for us which we appreciate my greatly. Spiders, ants, and crickets were in the cottage but didn’t bother us much. Got to know the neighborhood dogs buddy and Edgar. View from kitchen and by the water was one of a kind. Nice quiet dead end road (Steep driveway) and small quaint town. Nearby boat launch and beach as well. We got in a lot of hiking at nearby areas. Would come back again!

Wonderful relaxing place for a city runaway
Me and my wife spend a really nice long weekend at this place, and it was a perfect fit for what we were looking for - house, lake, nature around, hikes. Our cat loved it as well!

We had a great time in Keeseville. The house is very confortable and well located in a beautiful and peaceful area and within a short/fair drive to wonderful hikes. Bring 1/4 coins for the washing machine! We didn't know beforehand! Also, if you are more than 4 people, bring extra-towels! We were 2 families of 4. Kaitlin always answers our messages within a short time. Overall, our stay was very satisfactory and we had a great time!

Beautiful Property!
Beautiful lakefront home - ON THE LAKE! We didn't get to use the dock for this stay as it was in the winter but, we are looking forward to renting it again in the summer to take full advantage! Word of caution for anyone with young children (0-3) there are a lot of steps leading down to the house - Children can be challenging and dealing with the steps and a squirmy toddler wasn't fun... so, make sure you have help if you do have little ones. Once inside the house and settled in - it's really perfect! Open Kitchen/Living room - plenty of space for a family: 2 bedrooms upstairs (with a queen in each) one bedroom downstairs with a King (VERY Comfortable King bed!) and the couches (one upstairs, one downstairs) are comfortable as well - I imagine you could sleep a couple more people using the couches and it would still be a wonderful stay. If this property ever goes up for sale , We want dibs! ;p

This was the perfect house for our needs! We needed a place that was close to Plattsburgh but could accommodate all of us in one place without multiple hotel rooms or hassle. Since we were there when the temperatures were quite chilly (lows in the teens, highs in the 20s) the only suggestion I would make is to turn the heat to a higher setting prior to guest arrival as it took a few hours to warm up. A few couch throw blankets for the cooler basement area where the teens hung out would have been good as well. But nothing that detracts from the overall excellent rental! Will definitely return.
