"A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend."

"I cannot recommend this home enough. Spent the weekend here with 3 close friends and we quite literally had the best trip. To start, Martha, the homeowner, is reliable, informative, and so friendly. The house is incredible. Spacious, so much attention to detail, and adorable. "Beautiful, clean home in a great location to Whiteface and the town of Lake Placid. Went to go skiing and got more than I imagined. Basement with ping-pong and foosball kept "the boys" entertained at night. I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while it was snowing. Definitely on my top 3 places I've stayed at, and will rent again."

We came up to move our daughter out of UVM dorm and then we used it as our jumping off point to Shelburn and, of course, downtown Burlington. "We had a lovely time in this chalet in the woods. Everything was as described. Neighborhood was QUIET which is exactly what we were looking for. Close and easy drive to lake Placid for supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the screened in porch was a very nice bonus. The cooking pots and pans could use updating - all are quite scratched up. Water pressure was good in shower. Communication with the host was terrific. Main bedroom is downstairs and as long as anyone staying upstairs is ok...
