Awesome vacation home!

Super well equipped for families with sand toys and beach chairs. The location is perfect, a 10-15 minutes walk to the beautiful Parson’s beach. We loved our stay!

Clean and comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed for comfort and relaxation- only wish there was room somewhere for a stackable washer and dryer- but we were only there for a few days and don’t have little ones:) We will be back for sure!

I went there each with my Kids before Covid, and again this year but the price increase a lot lately making it difficult afford… but it’s our favorite place to watch plover play with the waves near Montréal !!!

We had a couple of hiccups (electronic keypad didn’t work, no hot water in 2nd bathroom shower, no hair dryer), but would still stay here again. It was nicely appointed above the description given and fit our family well. Great distance to the beach and we felt safe in the cottage. FYI, the pool was not able to be used at the time of our stay.

Quaint getaway!

Perfect for our getaway to kennebunkport. Just a 5 minute drive to downtown. The cabin was relaxing and accommodating.

Location and amenities great, cottage could use some updates

Location and amenities (pool, playground) are great for families traveling with young kids. Cottage 10 has an uncomfortable (vintage?) mattress, and a kitchen that’s pretty difficult to cook in (pots that don’t have fitting lids, no counter space). We’ll be back, but stay in a different cottage.

overall cottage was clean, tv not working in one bedroom, someone came to check and said he would tell the owners, the box was missing, so was not rectified during our stay. Ice maker in refrigerator would have been nice, stove needed updating as well. Served its purpose but no more than 4 could stay there. Not enough seating in the living room and furniture needs updating as well. Outside walkway is large loose rocks, certainly a fall hazard, this needs to be addressed immediately Sorry, would not stay here again , needs to be updated..

Great location!

The cottage is terrific - lots of space and nicely kept. The property itself needs some TLC, but seems that some of that work might be underway. But, location - across the street from the beach - makes up for it. Great spot!

The Seagull's Nest (Shorelands Resort Cottage 10) Kennebunk, Maine

Cottage #10 was clean and provided all amenities required for my family. The cottage is one of several on the Shorelands Resort that has been renovated. All of the cottages look nice, and the owner gave us a tour of the last cottage undergoing renovation. The property itself needs some updating. There is a playground with slides and swings for the little ones. The pool was available for use, but it is a bit tired looking. There were outside tables and chairs, but unit 10 has a private picnic table in the back yard. The construction is on the owner's house and the renovation of a cottage. No construction activity happened while we stayed on the property. There are no laundry facilities for Cottage 10. I did not notice any common laundry facility on the property. There is Parsons Beach, which has access via Parsons Beach Road across the street from the Resort. Parsons Beach is quiet, almost private. You should leave the car at your cottage and just walk to the beach (about 3/4 mile walk). Although the Resort in not in the center of any retail or attraction areas, the property is centrally located to Oqunquit, Wells and Kennebunkport. We would stay at Cottage 10 again.

Can’t wait to come back after Renovation is done!

We loved this place. Any interactions with staff we had was great. The space inside the cabins is laid out perfect. Everything you could want to do is 10-25 minutes in either direction. The only disappointments for us was WiFi wasn’t working due to upgrades I’m process and the hot tub wasn’t running because of Covid 19. The pool could’ve used a little TLC but nothing terrible. We can’t wait to go back!
