“I expected a little better view of the water since it was so close to the river. We appreciated the Keurig coffee maker with pods since we weren't planning to buy food supplies. They gave very good suggestions about places to eat. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. We would stay there again.”

“So many postiives to write here. 1-the location is superb. One block from the water and a couple of blocks walk to some of the best restaurants in town. The Oyster bar was so good we visited twice. 2- The B and B is perfect. A very warm host who instantly made you feel at home. There is a happy hour with draft beer every day! 3- The room is perfectly spacious, immaculately clean 4- Whatever you need, the host will provide. I wouldnt recommend this place for families, but for couples its……

“Enjoyed the staff and property. Close to Southport and the coast yet close to local restaurants not just “resort” priced restaurants. Breakfast was ok but not many fruit offerings and items weren’t always refilled in a timely manner.”

“Beautiful room, looks brand new and was nicely appointed with very nice furniture. The fridge was retro and cute, bed was very comfortable. Some dustier floors than I would have liked but sometimes this is to be expected in beachy environments. This was nothing major, overall the room was lovely and comfortable and I would recommend this as a great place to stay. ”

“The hotel was nice, but not up to the expected standards. There was only one elevator working, the breakfast was fair, the pillows were miniature, and the A/C was noisy. Theses are minor, I know, but somewhat agravating. The guest, (which was not your fault, were slaming doors until 2AM.”

“Our stay at the Sand Dunes Motel was such a pleasant experience. The staff were so helpful and kind, the rooms were clean, and the beach view (even on the first floor) was stunning. The pool was also very clean, and the beach access was very convenient. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!”

“Very overpriced. We were expecting more of a resort type hotel but this is not that type of property. It is more of a motel with a small restaurant in a separate building. The best thing is that it is right on the beach and that was nice. The rooms were clean but nothing like nice soaps or shampoos , just very basic supplies. No blow dryer in the room so bring everything you need. Also very basic bed covers/sheets/scratchy towels. Just not at all what we expected for the price we paid. You……
