"A lovely apartment, very clean. Towels were changed frequently. Free coffee pods provided. The pool was great. Our room (no 4) had an enormous balcony with its own sunbeds and umbrella, and wonderful view of the bay. We had no complaints."

"Very nice, clean villa. Host was amazingly responsive, whether for recommendations or just small issues within the property.The outside dining area was lovely, with nice views on the mountains.The pool was nice but the design was strange with the end of the pool finishing after the overhang wall and you could bang your head on it while swimming.The kitchen was too small to cater for 10 people, with a half size dishwasher but we managed it!Barbecue area had no light.The rooms and the en-suites were lovely but the 2 rooms at the top had no bathroom so you had to go downstairs in the bathroom on the landing. But the ratio bathrooms/toilets to people was good.I would say you need a car but you can walk down the village although there’s no pavement and it’s very dark at night. However taxis are available and very reasonable.Miss Stella was lovely and had great recommendations for various restaurants, taxis etc, so were the conciergerie. They were very helpful."

"a lovely clean property in a great part of Almyrida, with spectacular views of the village and the sea. Being slightly elevated meant there was a nice sea breeze during the hottest part of the year. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfy. It was mainly quiet around the pool which was spotlessly clean. and we enjoyed the spacious and peaceful feel of the pool area.. A very enjoyable stay"

"Villa Varvara is in an excellent location with easy access to Almyrida. The view of the mountains from the top balcony was stunning and something you could never tire of. The pool was large with the area well equipped in terms of seating and loungers. The host was excellent, flexible and extremely helpful whenever we needed anything. The sitcom throughout the Vila is of a really good standard. Almyrida itself had plenty to offer in terms of of quality places to eat and easy access to beautiful clear water. Kalyves is easy to access on the bus as is Chania which we would highly recommend visiting. We also did a trip to Loutro with Wanderlust which was one of the most beautiful and special places we’ve visited. The listing should mention the separate ground floor although this did not impact our privacy or enjoyment. The only minor gripe on the Villa would be the table on the balcony where we spent much of our time was damaged and we needed to be very careful not to break it completely. That said we had a truly wonderful time and would definitely consider rebooking."

"Wendy was very efficient at responding to any messages .The 5th bedroom is not really big enough for two people and the sofa bed in the family room was quite uncomfortable but the other beds were very comfortable We had a lovely week and enjoyed it very much"

"This property was great for our family. Adult children with partners. Each room has an ensuite. All bedrooms are downstairs. Living, kitchen, bathroom, laundry up. Beautiful open space all glass with fabulous views. Be aware they are not internally connected. You go outside to go upstairs. The pool is fabulous. Big & great temp with plenty of loungers. Lovely bbq area also. I would suggest a car. The taxi service is very good. However it’s hilly the roads are rough. The beach is a 10min walk down a small decline. Great little food/drink truck there. Fun night time thing to do. The towns are decent walks.. 20mins but tough hilly walks. (Not for young kids or prams).Kaylves near buy is handy for supplies, beach & lots of tavernas on the beach. We preferred Almyrida. More quality restaurants here. If you’re looking for peace & quiet. Happy with being removed, this is a great option."

"House is in an ideal spot. Beautiful views, wonderful amenities, and beaches everywhere. Owner and manager were excellent! Very well stocked with household and outdoor items. Great pool. Positioned between two little towns with beaches, shops and restaurants. Would definitely come again. Know there will be cicadas outside in summer."
