“The room was very comfortable, the common areas are awesome, the breakfast options were nice but I preferred to have breakfast cooked for me as I was hung over, Richard is easy to deal with and very welcoming 9.5/10. My varanda door screeched when I opened and closed it”

“The Parrot's Nest is very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Vanessa is a welcoming, friendly, and generous host. As we did not have a vehicle, we loved being walking distance from the Kerikeri Basin, with the Stone Store and Kemp House so close, plus the lovely waterfall walk. We have no hesitation in recommending this place.”

“Staff was great, and bungalow we stayed in was lovely. Adjacent to hotel, room had jetted tub with shower plus kitchenette. Water front view was lively albeit 5 minute parking space in front for checkin sometimes had cars blocking our view. The restaurant dinner for sunset was lovely and food was excellent. ”

“Very pleasant and it is surrounded by nature and quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The fire place was very effective. Just a great experience and we highly recommend.”

“Lovely welcoming hosts, Lise was prompt and attentive. We just stayed the one night but it was a very restful and relaxing stay, very private and serene garden areas to enjoy, and all just a short walk to the Kohukohu CBD : ) Very handy to the pub and shop and just across the street from the bowls club where the locals will happily welcome you for a sneaky beverage, there’s some folks there enjoying a bowl and a beer most nights during the summer nights.”

“The staff were very patient and accommodating with our changes. Beds were very comfortable after a long day on the road. Showers nice and hot. Xmas decorations were pretty and kitchen was well equipped. Will definitely go back.”

“We had a delightful week in this 1860s cottage. It has been fitted out very comfortably and is surrounded by beautiful gardens including a variety of fruit trees. Fiona is a wonderful host, who responds promptly. It’s a 20 minute drive from the touristy offerings of Piahia and the busier Kerikeri so if you’re wanting shops and restaurants on your doorstep this may not be for you. If you enjoy the peace and quiet of the lush green countryside the you’ll love this cottage”
