The lodge is exceptionally well maintained, spotless, and clearly run with great attention to detail. We would especially like to thank the fantastic hosts, Greg and Peter. They were always approachable, provided us with many great tips for activities in and around Russell, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout……

We just stayed the one night but it was a very restful and relaxing stay, very private and serene garden areas to enjoy, and all just a short walk to the Kohukohu CBD : ) Very handy to the pub and shop and just across the street from the bowls club where the locals will happily welcome you for a sneaky beverage, there’s some folks there enjoying a bowl and a beer most nights during the summer nights.”

“The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a cabin with its own amenities, but we did scope out the shared kitchen and it was spacious and clean. It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.”
