「Although the property is updated, it retains the characteristics of a farmhouse. The kitchen was updated, but still had, what look like, original built-ins. The bathrooms were updated, but the bedrooms looked original with hardwood floors, solid wood doors, and antique hardware. The lake was good and almost empty on Thursday and Friday. 「It was a nice place with pretty good privacy. The road was a little busy with cars at times but we were out and about more than there so it wasn’t much of a bother. We did have a fire one night which was a good way to relax after a day of hiking in Duluth. Great communication from the property owners!」

「Cozy!」

「We went back and forth about booking due to the reviews and I’m so glad we just went ahead and booked. It’s definitely a good old northern cabin on the lake, outdated, and some spider webs. But, the lake was nice, nice dock, fire pit cozy, beds were comfy and we had a great time! Would definitely rebook if we find ourselves in the area again.」

「Had a great week at this spot! We were looking for a getaway away from people and more in nature and this definitely offered that. It's a pretty minimal setup. There's no running water on site (the pump water isn't drinkable), so make sure to bring some extra water for your stay. There was water there in a few jugs, but we found it helpful to have bottled water to put in the mini fridge. Otherwise, everything was as pictured and very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!」

「We had a great time here.There was plenty of room for our 2 families, indoor and outdoor. Enjoyed all the water toys they provided, that was a big plus. Fishing was good, catching crappies, northern, large mouth bass. Nice quiet lake.Plenty of wood for campfires and beautiful sauna provided. Pictures are exactly what you get.There are toys and games for the kids also.We will be back next summer!」

「This was the perfect house for our stay in Moose Lake. We came up to do some trail riding and we could leave right from the house. Also close enough to walk to the brewery and other restaurants. The house was adorable and you could tell there was a lot of thought into all the small details. Very clean and everything seemed brand new from the kitchen appliances to the sheets and towels.
