The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we had to change our reservation nights and they really helped us out with Expedia. Also, having a restaurant on site was such a plus after sight seeing all day. Great food! Highly recommend this wonderful place!

This place is so cute and quaint. I love that it’s family owned because they genuinely care for their guests and the property. I loved the restaurant and the bread. Omg. Their homemade fresh bread is so delicious. You also get a $15 voucher towards a meal during your stay. I really hope I have another opportunity to stay for longer in the future.

The room was clean, perfect for a few day trip. Possibly the best shower I have ever experienced in a hotel (10/10 water pressure). The air conditioner was a bit loud but kept the room cool. Breakfast at the restaurant was great. Dinner at the powder house lodge was overhyped, would skip if I went back.

This entire place is just amazing. We were staying in the motel part of the property and we weren't expecting much, but the rooms were so clean, renovated, the beds were comfortable and abundant parking. The staff was all so knowledgeable, so kind, and really went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and help us. The on site restaurant was awesome too. The location to Mount Rushmore can't be beat! We will definitely come back.

Cabin rooms and amenities were impeccable. The staff and management exceeded all expectations. Going so far as to assist with attaining my fishing license when complications arose. We enjoyed all three meals at the restaurant. Enough can not be said to over hype or exaggerate the deliciousness of every dish we tried. From breakfast to dessert every choice we made each day only drove us back again the next! I will definitely plan better and stay longer on a guaranteed return trip.

The room was small and cozy. Nowhere to sit but the bed. Sleeping was quiet and very comfortable. Restaurant doesn’t open until 7:00am to get coffee which is free for guests. Grounds are beautiful and parking was great since each unit has their own parking spot. I would skip the restaurant there if you want a nice dinner. We went to the shops and restaurants up the road to eat and shop. A great variety there! Overall, a nice experience.

The property is quaint and beautiful. Powder House is close to Keystone to go into town and walk the shops and restaurants, yet just far enough out to be quiet and relaxing. The staff was the best part of our stay. They were all very friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about the property and area, and made us feel like old friends. The restaurant was amazing! We had one dinner and one breakfast while we stayed, both meals were the best we ate in the area while there. The one thing that I would like to see next time we stay, there will be another time (probably many), are some small appliances for the “kitchen area”. When I saw they have motel rooms and cabins, we booked a king cabin room, I assumed there would be some kitchen appliances in a cabin. I think it would be nice to have maybe a pop up toaster and like a small induction cooktop. It would be nice to be able to cook some small items when staying multiple nights instead or just having a microwave to reheat things. This one downside was a mistake by me not the property and will not stop us from returning for more stays.
