“Nice older world pub would go again Nice staff lot's of places to go”

“Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.”

“Very nice staff. Straight forward public house atmosphere. Beer tasting and band playing downstairs well into the evening, but not a significant issue. Nice breakfast and really beautiful surroundings.”

“Wonderful location, lovely views and everything we needed. Would recommend! A lot of attention to detail has gone into this place and it feels so warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Our children adored the rabbits, owl, deer and swallows everywhere.”

“Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”

“A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. We also enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests who were repeat visitors, which says a lot about the place. Overall, a relaxed and friendly hotel in a fantastic location, and……

Absolutely nothing we did not like apart from leaving. A first visit which I really hope will not be our last. Great work by the team here.”

“Lovely country pub and stay nice cooked food and breakfast which is decent size to start your day . Rooms and nice and roomy and comfy got everything you need all clean and tidy . The rooms attached to pub are great if you’re disabled . The staff are lovely a really nice family run place so welcoming in a beautiful little village with gorgeous surroundings peaceful . Loved it will be back again .”
