Great Location!
The location of this house was great, it really is just about 100 steps from the beach! The house itself is really nice with comfy beds and nice amenities, but it gets HOT. The only room with AC is the master bedroom upstairs. The living room and all of the other bedrooms never really cool down at night even with the windows open. There are some things that need fixing as two of the ceiling fans didn't work, one fan you can't change the speed and the oscillating fan didn't work. All the beach furniture supplied in the backyard is in need of replacement - so we just took towels. That being said, the new patio furniture in the Lanai was comfortable and we enjoyed spending time there. We did have one issue where some people knocked on the door asking about buying an A/C unit. We told them they were at the wrong property. Shortly thereafter, someone else working with the property manager knocked on the door asking to come in to sell them the A/C unit. We were never made aware that they were coming and the people buying the A/C came into the unit which we were not comfortable with. Had we not been at the home, it seems that they planned to enter the unit with the other individuals with no notice to us - which didn't feel great knowing we had belongings out. Even with these few issues we all had a great stay and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice quite stay in Kihei.

What to Expect
In fairness to other people who may rent this house you should be aware of the following: There is not inside table or furniture to watch the TV. No supplies - not even salt and pepper, laundry detergent or shampoo. No containers, plastic wrap, etc.to store leftover food. Almost everything was in need of repair and most certainly updating. Toilet upstairs would keep running unless you lifted the handle up. The screen in the lanai had holes and unattached at the bottom. And I found the owner to be completely unworkable. However, the beds and pillows were extremely good.

We strive to make each guest's expierence positive. We are more than happy to send maintenence for legitimate issues! We have a wonderful and attentive team and most issues are completely resolvable. However, we rely on communication from our guests if there is an issue during a stay. For any guest at any vacation home, we would advise guests to reach out and communicate during a stay, versus defamating an owner/property at then end of the stay!

Beautiful space in great location
Really enjoyed the space and location. Pictures lead me to imagine it was on the beach which is actually across the street, and is indeed very close. Host response was somewhat slower than most places I have stayed, though helpful when response came. I would stay here again.

Just perfect for us!
We will definitely stay in this property again! Great location, plenty of space for everyone. Loved eating on the patio. Washer and dryer were huge and worked fast. The place was very clean when we arrived.

We had booked this house for the last half of our trip to Maui. We were at the edge of Lahaina when the fire started and were stuck there for 2+ days after, fortunately we were avid to get ahold of the host “Hannah” and she let us in to the property a day early and even extended us two days after when our connecting flight was delayed. House was beautiful, clean and so comforting for our family after our experience. Will stay here again when we come back to Maui in the future.

Great location help make the trip awesome.
This property was very nice and clean. Its location was great. The only issue was the only A/C was in the master bedroom which was not a problem just a surprise. In addition, there is a locked portion of the house which the cleaning help used and stayed at pat of the time. This created no problem but was a surprise. Once we were used to it, it worked out fine.

We were disappointed with the quality of the rental. It was not what was marketed on Vrbo. Here is a partial list of issues: several lights and fans did not work, the screen door across from the front door was coming apart so we could not leave it open, the shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom was falling apart, there were cockroaches on the kitchen counter and in the upstairs shower when we arrived, there was no cleaner for cleaning the counters, the tv on the enclosed porch did not work, the wall of the upstairs bathroom was filthy, paint on the primary bedroom wall above the bed was coming off.

We represent our home just as it is online. Our staff is always accommodating when issues do arise. The issues mentioned in this review are just untrue. We find it unfortunate that guests use this platform to degrade owners and their homes for extortion purposes.

We came to stay after being in Kona. House is situated in a central location - easy to get most anywhere. The house is positioned very close to two main thoroughfares. There is road noise, and earplugs are a must in the bedrooms which have no air conditioning - assuming you open the windows to sleep. Kitchen is minimally outfitted. We ran out of staples such as laundry soap and toilet paper - which was annoying. The yard space is beautiful and serene. All lights and fans are in need of being checked. Either some bulbs were burned out or we lacked directions on how to turn them on. Overall this is a modern nice home which met our budget and adventure needs.

Great find. The description was very accurate. We enjoyed how close it was to the beach. Very comfortable beds. Loved the outside tables and Grill. Would have been nice if the outside shower worked. Very close to alot of necessary places. The coconut man from Coconut Healing was nice. He was cutting down coconuts on the property. He gave us some. If we visit Maui again we will stay there again.

The place was clean and close to the beach; though we went to other beaches our whole stay. Beds were comfortable. The place was comfortable with windows open, but it would likely be very hot during later summer months. There was an an AC in the master bedroom. The standup fan downstairs did not work, but may be replaced when the owner is aware. The kitchen was mostly well stocked with dishes and appliances. It could use a cutting board and a few oven mitts. Bring washcloths if you usually use them. There were plenty of bath towels and six beach towels. Previous renters have left various and sundry items such as sunscreen, aloe, and some beach toys and shoes. People from previous posts complained about lack of living room seating, but we found that sitting outside was preferable anyway. Washer and dryer in the unit was helpful. Our group of five enjoyed our stay.

Please invest in some better furniture
The location is the reason to stay in this property. It really is close to the beach— although you do have to cross a busy street, so “fifty steps” is a bit of an understatement. The house is fine, not the cleanest I have seen, but not the worst either. It’s the lack of furniture available that gave us our most uncomfortable times in this property. The built-in bench with cushions on it, that I guess is supposed to be a couch is super uncomfortable, the bar stools are miserable… the only full size table is on the patio so we had to eat group meals outside- which would be fine normally, but our first 2 &1/2 days were total rainouts so we were stuck inside. The beds were very good though, so we were able to work out our kinks from the furniture overnight. Also— the lime tree, dripping ripe fruit in the backyard was a bonus. Fresh margaritas helped with the kinks too! What would make this property a perfect ten would be better furniture in the group areas.

The house was bigger than the picture show. It was very clean. We were a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and we had a lot of space to chill and relax. The outside amenities are very usefull. The house is literrally 56 steps from the beach, that is often empty but beautiful.

Nice home, close to Sugar Beach
This home is a short walk to Sugar Beach, and is within walking distance to a delicious bakery! My husband and I, and our 2 kids with their significant others had a wonderful week at this home. Plenty of space, a nice garden area that we spent most of our time in, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is close to a lot of the Kihei restaurants, and The Cove Park where there is good surfing. It was a great week!

The house and outside patio and garden area were good. The two queen beds were not super comfortable according to my kids. We enjoyed the beach across the street and also liked the town of Kihei. Very centrally located for things we wanted to do.

Property manager didn’t respond to neither mail nor text message. House super close to beach and has everything you need. However, house is a little outdated, especially cabinets. A/C only in Master bedroom. Outdoor shower doesn’t work, garden hose almost broken. Shower curtain upstairs falls apart.

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
This home is just feet away from the beach. The house has three bedrooms and the main bedroom does have a small AC unit as mentioned in other reviews. Overall the place was a great fit for our family of 6 adults. I read the reviews and some people said they needed fans but I'm from sunny California and we were just fine with the windows and ceiling fans. I would also suggest more beach towels. The place had sufficient bath towels. Overall, we had a great stay!

This was a great location on Maui. The beach was steps away and we had most of it to ourselves. House had chairs and other beach supplies. Great shave ice just a few blocks away. We found the location central to the other activities on the island as well and worked great for our party of 6. House was clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay again!

Location is Excellent
The location is perfect for those wanting to play in the ocean. Beautiful grounds and a very relaxing setting. Short 10–15-minute drive to the nightlife and diving or snorkeling sites in South Kihei. About 30-40 minutes to Lahaina. We spent ample time in the afternoons and evenings just sitting at the table on the lanai, reading or looking at the day’s dive photos. We used the kitchen all but two nights. It had most of what we needed for cooking but could use a knife sharpener and a couple more fry pans. The BBQ was recently replaced and worked well. An extra propane bottle would be nice so that you can easily swap tanks if you run out in the middle of cooking dinner, such as we did. Lowes and Home Depot have exchange tanks if you need propane on the weekend. All the bedrooms are upstairs, which gets hot at night, especially if any doors or windows are closed. The main bedroom has a small AC unit that worked well, but the other two rooms could also use a small AC unit. This is the only reason I gave an overall rating of 4 stars. I would book again.

Great stay!
The stay was great overall. A few suggestions overall would be to add a few more towels. I think there were only 6 in the house. It just created the need to do laundry constantly. Also a few cheap fans would be nice on the warmer days. I’m from Arizona and accustomed to the heat, and on a few of the warmer days the house was boarderline. uncomfortable. Otherwise a nice property for the price.

Only issues were that cable boxes didn’t work but we had our own streaming accounts so it was not an issue. Might be a problem for a family with children. Also only one air-conditioned room, main bedroom. House was pretty hot. Again an issue with a family with small children.

Overall a great experience. The house was cozy and gave you the real Hawaiian feel. We enjoyed the backyard, played some games and even had a nice bbq. The only thing I would have liked to see was a few more pots and pans in the kitchen. We only found one pan to make our morning breakfast. It will work for a couple but there were 6 of us so it took a little longer to make our breakfast with only one pan. We made it work, so overall a great place to stay I would still highly recommend. Great location and again loved that cozy Hawaiian feel of the house.

Most reviews were good… All bedrooms are upstairs (☹️) the loft porch has -what could be - a nice seating area, but the cushions are so CRAPPY! It’s unbelievable!! Pay more and be happy - don’t stay here!

Check in was somewhat easy, we arrived early but had to wait until 4 so that sucked but is what it is. The house was hot because there was no A/C which was rough. The backyard was totally overgrown and not maintained. The cable was not available because the bill apparently was not paid. The house next door was doing construction starting at 6 and ending at 9 which sucked. The location was truly the only good thing this house had going for it. There is limited seating downstairs for family to gather.

Check in could not be easier. It’s a front door code. The 4pm check in time is CLEARLY stated on the listing and in the welcome guide email. It’s also clearly stated on the listing this house does not have a/c. The yards is maintained monthly. We have zero control over neighbors business and It’s also stated in the listing the house is in a residential neighborhood. The home sleeps six and there is seating for that many people. Sorry, but all of your complaints make it sound like you really didn’t look at the information in the listing.

Fantastic house
Great property. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Great linens, comfy beds, great backyard with shower. Used the grill, worked great. Loves having a toaster over so we sis not have to heat up the house. Close to beach and shopping. Would definitely stay here again. One tip- could use a small cooler for day use amd grilling tools.

So close to the beach and plenty of space for the six of us. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were fine, but some pillows and towels need replacing. I agree with a previous review that there’s no indoor place to gather, but hey you’re in Maui, so it’s about being outside most of the time.

Great little house centrally located to everything on Maui
The house was as described with all the amenities we might need for our week-long stay. I gave 4stars instead of 5 for description, because while it is just steps from the beach - it’s not Sugar Beach. Having said that - the beach is right there. This house location is great - very central to anything you may want to do on Maui. I had one issue, and reached out to the manager - with no response. Would suggest they check gas grill weekly as we ran out of propane 2 days before we left.

Sand, sea turtles and snow cones all a short walk from home.
Overall we were very pleased with out rental and it fit our needs well. There were six adults (three generation family) mandating a three bedrooms rental. I think it which would be difficult to match this single family home rental and location at this price point on Maui. The photos capture the residence pretty well as to what you are being offered. The primary areas of the home were clean upon our arrival, as promised. The only detail which could get more attention was the top of the chair rails and wood moldings where dust and dirt can accumulate. Otherwise the home was fine. The kitchen was sufficiently supplied with pots, pans, dishes etc and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen appliances, washer and drier were relatively new and functioned well (except broken ice maker in fridge). The property is a short walk to the sandy beach where we could snorkel with the turtles and fish. An ABC store, bakery and snow cone stand were only a 5 to 10 minute walk. Six beach towels and some left over straw beach mats were also provided for guest use. The items which we feel would make a guest's stay better were also mentioned in the comments by one or two other guests. The outside lanai had descent functional furniture but worn and stained cushions. The screen doors to the enclosed, upstairs lanai were almost inoperable due to poor fit. Finally, the only floor cleaning item we could locate was a broom and dust pan. The floors tend to get a film of dirt simply due to the proximity to the beach and tradewinds. A swifter floor cleaning kit and/or a Hokie floor sweeper might be a helpful. The house is also quite close to an intersection of two busy roads, each being two-lanes. Accordingly, we experienced traffic noise, off and on throughout each night. In closing, we can say we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the owner making this property available. It worked great being away from the more high density areas of Kihei but still a short drive away when necessary. For those using the bus line, it stops very close to the house as well. The beautiful beach across the street is used primarily by local neighborhood people, who were very friendly. We hope other guests enjoy their stay as well and find this review helpful.

Not a good rental for families or groups that hang out together
It seemed like a place that used to be loved, but was now just a space for specific types of renters. The week before, one of our guests stayed in the same sqft size rental in Lahaina with a pool, that was well-kept and cost less per night. Pros: Fruit, flower, palm trees in backyard Extremely close to a beach Location is a good mid-point on island for travel 3 great bedrooms with flexibility for other sleeping spaces on the lanai and daybed downstairs Well appointed kitchen with outdoor dining spaces Outdoor shower for rinsing off sand Cons: Non-existent gathering furniture (indoor couch/seating area or outdoor furniture seating) for family to hang out, which separated parties and really lessened experience No A/C and inadequate fans to provide indoor air flow 1 bathroom to share amongst all upstairs bedrooms Odd lanai upstairs—that is only accessed through two bedrooms, but had furniture and a broken fan Lack of ongoing maintenance, including yard Little communication with host, welcoming or otherwise Who its good for: group of people who don’t hang out together much and need separate spaces (maybe surfer group or college couples), still would be sharing a bathroom Who its not good for: families, large group that will hang out together on property, people not used to the heat, those more comfortable with nicer amenities, and those who don’t like sharing bathrooms.

Lovely place to stay for vacation
The home is in a great location, literally steps from the beach and easy access to food and shopping areas. The house was extremely clean and was supplied with more necessities then needed. The bathroom and shower areas were magnificent. The beds were very comfortable. The crosswind breeze was extremely relaxing. Outside there was plenty of space to dine or hangout, we loved sitting outside and talking. We had no complaints about the home. This home is a must stay location. Absolutely lovely home!

We had a really nice stay. Loved the location, the beach accross the street was fabulous. We enjoyed the beach and the home. We were able to barbecue and eat in the patio :) One thing that I thought was awesome compared to other homes I have rented is that Netflix and Disney plus was available. It made one of our nights to watch a nice movie. I would definitely recommend the property and come back if we were make another trip to Maui. Thank you

Incredible!!!
This property exceeded my expectations; was very spacious, clean, updated, and well stocked. Every kitchen utensil I could want, was there. Every appliance needed for a family was available. Just steps (literally less than a minute walk) to a quiet and beautiful beach. I accidentally stayed 45 minutes past checkout (oops!!) and they were so gracious as I quickly loaded our family of 5. If we return to Maui, we know where we will be staying. Thank you so much!!
