Nice and relaxing stay

location was walkable to many amenities and steps from the beach. the pool was lovely and not crowded. worked out perfectly for a sisters-getaway!

Great stay with almost perfect location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying here! Right on the beach, clean, property management is easy to work with. The only issue we had was that our condo was just off the street, and there was a lot of traffic coming and going. It was a little loud sometimes. I would try and stay in a room next time set a little further back on the property. But if you are an early riser, it won't affect you.

Birthday Week in Maui

We loved every minute of our stay. The condo came with everything we needed (chairs, umbrella, beach towels, etc) and was the best location for a home base. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to Maui.

Kihei family vacation

The condo was the perfect size for our family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. Great location, easy drive to area attractions. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shop. Condo had beach towels and chairs. We enjoyed our stay!

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Waiohuli for 20 years and have stayed in several different units so we know the complex well but have never stayed on the A side of the complex. The view is amazing and a nice unit and great for two couples. We love it for the huge pool which is rarely busy and the quiet beach. The condo is on the side of the complex closest to the road that leads down to the beach, we had several nights of parties and unruly homeless people which the police had to deal with but is not the owners fault. Our only other complaint would be the fridge which leaks and should be replaced. Oh and already mentioned in another review would be another comfortable chair as there is only the couch and dining chairs.

The view from the portal was great to watch the ocean and the storms roll through. Easy access to everything. Fish tacos at the Food Trucks were fabulous. The beach here is not great for hanging out at so you'll want to drive to a beach if that is what you are after.

Excellent view but noisy

Reviewer Comments: Early morning sitting on the patio/lanai looking over the ocean was the highlight for this condo. Once the downstairs neighbors woke up the acoustics were such that it seemed like they were sitting right next to you in a restaurant. It's not that they were being loud just normal conversation and noise from a toddler. It's just poor acoustics from the building design and no sound damping. You could even hear them clear as bell in the unit with the doors and louver windows closed. In brief, 3 stars w minus 1 for noise and maintenance, +/- to help you decide:+ View of ocean+ 1 block to beach, stores, restaurants, post office, etc+ Cooling breeze (Feb 2024) from ocean such that we didn't even use the A/C+ Internet worked perfectly. There even is a printer which we didn't use but is nice to have available.+ New washer/dryer+ Clear instructions from Maui Rentals+ Basic supplies ie paper towels, soaps, etc+ Plenty of parking+ Condo grounds and pool were well landscaped and clean+ Beach chairs, umbrella - Noise due to poor acoustics- Noise from refrig which ran constantly. I think due to the coils needing to be cleaned.- Maintenance (burned out bulb in porch light, burned out bulb in fan (MBed), Toilet in hall bath rocked on it's base, peeling paint on bathroom doors, extensive dust build up on frig louvers that reduced airflow over cooling coils resulting in the frig running nearly all the time even with freezer and frig temps at warmest setting)- Dirty baseboards, etc - needs a deep clean

January stay

We found the condo we rented to be nice enough. However, it did not have a dishwasher, which was weird since the check-in instructions indicated dishwasher pods would be provided. The unit also included 3 AC units which were needed, but ran very loud. For those considering a trip this time of year, whale watching turned out great, but other activities were affected by brown water warnings and rain.

Awesome sunsets

Fantastic Rental and Great Location

We loved this rental. It is right on a terrific beach and it has a great pool. Everything we needed was in the unit, including beach chairs, towels and floaties. It is also walking distance to groceries and restaurants. The host is very responsive. Overall, this was a very comfortable place to stay and accommodated our family’s first Hawaiian vacation very well!

Perfect Kehei home base

Reviewer Comments: This condo was perfect for a family of 4 and very convenient for lots of Maui adventures. The condo kitchen and living room has been updated nicely. While small the kitchen worked perfect for making meals and we all fit fine at the small dining table. The bathrooms and bedrooms were not as updated but were very comfortable and clean which is all we cared about. While we did not need it every day it was nice to have air conditioning on a couple hot afternoons.The location is great. We enjoyed the beach for sunsets and our daughters (8 and 11) were able to enjoy the surf several evenings. It is on the windy side and the water is more choppy so we also traveled to other Kehei beaches, just five minutes down the road, and 15 minutes further to Makena and Maluaka which were both fantastic. We did the Haleakala crater one afternoon and it was just over an hour away. We also drove up the west coast. Kehei was so central and easy for our jumping off point. Plus we had so many great restaurant and food truck options, plus groceries just up the road.The pool and shuffleboard court were also huge hits!If you are looking for simple, comfortable family accommodations, this is your place!

Spring Break for Four

This property was in a very centralized location, was very clean, and had very nice finishes throughout. We really enjoyed watching whales on the front lanai while eating our breakfast. The beach out front is great for walking and has a lot of coral; so I'd recommend just dipping your feet in but not planning to make it a destination for a family beach day. Our biggest downside was the number of homeless people in the area. I was told the nearby church provides meals and support for the local homeless population and they tended to linger in mornings and evenings. Overall we loved how close the times grocery store was (1 minute walk); we loved walking to get coffee nearby too (Akamai coffee was a 2 minute walk); and the condo was well equipped with sun shades, chairs, and everything else needed for enjoying the local beaches. We would stay here again.

Maui Birthday Trip!

Reviewer Comments: The grounds, pool area and outside hallways are nicely kept and our unit had a lovely ocean view making sunset watching enjoyable. This unit is at the far end of the complex, so if you want quiet and out of the busier areas like the pool and community grills, this unit is for you. We met many new people, mostly Canadians who've been coming to this property for years & stay for weeks/months who were lovely, welcoming and helpful in recommending local eats/attractions. These units are showing their age, however. Sliding closet doors and bifold doors going off track with careful adults operating them, outdated decor like mirrored closet doors, bedding, etc. This unit could use a "refresh". The pillows should be rotated out to be washed for freshness. Housekeeping seems very surface & not sparkling clean like you hope for when you're vacationing. Comfortable beds/sofa, but awkward table between kitchen and living area making both spaces feel tight. Plenty of cookware/tableware for most any need (keep in mind with no dishwasher, they are only as clean as whoever washed them last!) & seasonings/coffee filters, etc in the pantry. Very convenient location with walkable grocery, restaurant & other amenities. We only sat on the beach the first afternoon because of gale force winds/rain several days, but many people come to the beach and blow their conchs for the sunset!!
