“The spa was marvelous. My husband and I spent nearly 2 hours moving from steam room, to pool, to sauna, to pool, to hot tub, to heated lounge chairs. Complementary robes and non-slip shoes. Absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Just what we both needed after a fast-paced week exploring Ireland. We also dined at their on-site Italian restaurant La Taverna Armento. A cozy, warm atmosphere with delicious pasta. I had the spaghetti armento and my husband had the pork ragu. Generous portions and……

“A charming and old hotel on beautiful grounds and walkable to Glendalough Cathedral. Hotel needs serious updates and maintenance. Broken coffee machines, fire extinguishers hanging on by a thread to the wall. Staff (other than a bartender) were not impressive and food was meh. Staff is worked hard.”

“Quaint little hotel. Very close to the train! That is a plus. Wish I had taken the train to Monaco for the day. Did not realize it until we took the train to Italy and back. Oh well now we know. Not much is happening on that end. On the other hand, there is so much going on. Be ready for some walking.”
