We had our dog, and there was an amazing and beautiful trail minutes from the house. Hot tubbing at night amongst all the trees was magical. Would definitely stay there again!

We spent a wonderful week with 8 family members at this property. We were so glad we picked Kings Beach vs Incline Village - such a great chill vibe. Property was in a great location for hiking, exploring, or heading into town. Beautiful kitchen, huge dining table, and space for everyone. Highly recommend!

Overall, great stay. Plenty of space with a nice large kitchen and great location. Looks like house was recently remodelled. Could use handy man for minor things around the house (bedroom doors don’t lock, playroom door doesn’t lock, one garage door didn’t open)

This house felt like home away from home while we were in Tahoe for my daughter's wedding weekend. The venue was within a mile or two from the house which made it very convenient to make several trips to set up for the wedding. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The late check out option the day after a late-night wedding was fantastic. We will definitely book again!

The cabin is spacious and only 5-10 mins from Safeway, gas station, restaurants, and view points of lake Tahoe. It has everything (including small appliances like crockpot) we needed for cooking. Hot tub and sauna are amazing. It was nice that Reno is only 40mins away and we went to gamble a little.Things to improve/pay attention to: dishes can be dusty from not being use, would be nice to have more towels, blankets, and comforters. Backyard is not fenced and it's connected to other properties.

We enjoyed the neighborhood and proximity to the grocery store, beach, restaurants and being so close to the forest for walks. The house is good for a max of 7 guests as the living room does not offer more seating. The balcony only 5, it was a little tight. The extra working desk area, the downstairs media/game room and wide hallways were a benefit for working areas.

This house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family. My teen boys and a couple of their friends stayed in the bottom floor. They loved the pool table, bunk beds and sauna. They could be as loud as they wanted and we couldn’t hear them at all from the Master Bedroom on the middle story. We all loved the location, the hottub. The beautiful fully stocked kitchen and double sided fireplace. My 9 year old loved sledding down the little hills in the backyard. We will definitely book this home again. Can’t wait to go back , thank you!!

We get together the first week of December every year for a family holiday gathering to start off the Christmas season. We upgraded this year to something a bit nicer and The Rim Retreat did not disappoint. My favorite part was the gourmet kitchen which was roomy and stocked with everything you need for cooking and serving! The large island was perfect for rolling and cutting Christmas cookies with the grandkids. The only downside for us was the different set of stairs which proved challenging with little ones. Thats why the 4 stars. However we made it work. Beautiful place!

Our family had a wonderful spring break getaway at Tahoe Rim Retreat. Plenty of room for adults and kids to relax after a lucky end of season snow fall skiing and snowboarding. We'd love to return!

Home was open and spacious, perfect for a family vacation. Plenty of dishes and cooking supplies to make meals. Lots of places to gather and relax. Convenient location, close to shopping and the beach. Very user friendly home and in nice clean condition with working appliances and accomodations. The only thing I think that could be improved is when we arrived the home was 90 degrees. It would have been nice if someone would have at least turned the fan/air on prior to our arrival. Other than that, A++++

Overall the place was nicely appointed, well equipped and comfortable. Very beautiful home. Quiet neighborhood (except for the bear one night, lol -- it's Tahoe after all!). We did have a couple of issues. The neighbor's 'security lights' (motion detected) point right at the bedrooms on the west side of the house (including the master bedroom). Shades were useless against these. Had to hang towels up on windows. Suggest adding blackout shades or curtains. Also, did not appreciate having no central heat available (thermostats were locked to 'off' position). While not unusual in the summer, the first of October can have chilly nights (we had a couple high 30's and then only high 50's one day). Management basically told us 'that's how they do it' and they don't activate until November, and to use the portable heaters in the closets. We expected better at this price point. In the end it was ok -- the gas fire place upstairs was great for upstairs. However if we had taken our elderly parents this would NOT have been acceptable. Again, a nice place. Just clarify the above issues when renting.

In all honesty this Kings Beach Retreat is probably the nicest VrBO we have ever stayed in. There isn’t a single thing in this entire house that hasn’t been remodeled with top notch consideration. The lay out is amazing, the space lends to being together or being apart. The beds and furniture are amazing! The hot tub and game room were a huge hit! It was well stocked with all the items we needed for the 4 days we were there. A few things to know you must be able to descend and ascend stairs to navigate this tri level house. The beach is not within walking distance for most people. Neither of these things were a concern for our crew but they maybe for individuals with mobility issues . We will definitely be back! AMAZINg trip!!
