Managed to get one of the last rooms after a highway closure. Check in via 3rd party booking agency was easy and simple. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The heat was difficult to control and woke up very hot but figured out (still half asleep) how to change the temp on the wall mounted heating unit.

Room was clean, but so much construction/ Reno supplies in the lobby, and no elevator - I understand it is only 2 floors, but bad shoulder makes it hard to carry suitcase upstairs. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating!!! I did ask for our two rooms to be side-by-side and that was not able to happen., not only that they were at opposite ends of the hotel when the man told me they could be side-by-side when I called in and made the reservation. But for 2 nights we were just fine.

Had a good stay here. Friendly staff. Great location for snowmobiling out of Kirkland Lake. Our room was a bit small but they do have larger sizes.

My stay was satisfactory. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. The room could use some upgrades. Lampshades cracked, old, discoloured, as is the fridge and microwave. Bathroom fan cover missing and not working. Breakfast was good. Excellent coffee. Front desk service was great. Just some modern updates would go a long way to making the rooms more pleasant to spend time in.
