"This hotel has been a favorite of my wife’ and mine over the past few years. Recently, we’ve noticed it’s starting to show signs of wear and tear, and these need to be addressed before it changes the whole look of this great hotel!"

"It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest. I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming. I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!"

"There was construction going on around area but should be ok afterwords. Had a nonsmoking room but room had ash trays and cigarette burns on comforter on bed. "
