My family stayed over Easter weekend 2022.
The house was soooo clean. Kudos to the housekeeping team. Fresh towels and linens were provided. As well as soap, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, dish soap, dishwasher detergent pods, and a kitchen sponge. Those supplies were greatly appreciated!
The location of this home is perfect! 5 minute drive to shopping and restaurants in Duck Village. Located in a quiet resort community, Ships Watch, all the homes and landscaping were immaculate. This home has almost 360 degree views. From the living room level, you can see the ocean from three sides of the house and the Sound from the fourth side of the house! Just beautiful!
The house is a 2 minute drive to the beach. There is a parking lot just for Ships Watch residents and guests with about 8 parking spots (2 parking passes included). We were there in the off season, so had no problem with parking. The parking lot leads to a nicely maintained boardwalk that goes directly to the beach. There was tons of room to spread out so we didn’t feel crowded on the beach.
The kitchen is fully stocked! They had stuff I didn’t even know I was going to need! Pots, pans, baking dishes, platters, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, mixing bowls, cooking utensil, knives, etc. We brought our own waffle maker, but the house had pretty much everything else!
I only have 2 suggestions for the house - the TV in the living room was mounted to the wall, so we couldn’t plug in our Amazon Fire Stick. It is a smart tv, and we tried logging into Netflix, but it didn’t work. We would have liked to watch movies in the evening, but we were unable to stream anything. So, maybe they could mount the tv on a different wall mount to allow guests to pull it forward to access the HDMI connections to stream. They did have a full DVD/sound set up - so we will bring DVDs next time!
The other negative for the house is the outlets were not in the most convenient locations in the bedrooms. I suggest bringing a 10 foot charger or an extension chord so your devices can be plugged in and closer to the bed!
All in all, we loved our stay at Chapman! We look forward to staying here again!
