SP8 Ole Duck Haven is really nice!

Nice property, multiple masters and adult bedrooms, bunk bed rooms for kids. The kitchen is handy, the beds were comfy and the location was exactly where we were looking for. We'll reserve this property again when we are there.

A wonderful week away

The house was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for our family vacation. Everyone had space but the common areas were large enough for congregation. Within walking distance of the beach and shops. The property manager was attentive and responded promptly when issues were reported. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Overall the property and location are great, no complaints there. We had a ton of fun and enjoyed every minute. Complaints were that there were no dish towels, no soap (bathrooms or kitchen), only one roll of toilet paper per bath and in some cases, they weren't even full rolls. Also, upon arrival we discovered the fridge was broken and we didn't have any ice. It took calling 4 times, 3 of which were messages I left before getting a response. On the 4th call, half way through our vacation, the fridge was fixed mostly but still had no ice. It was very annoying to need to go buy ice nearly every day. Hopefully this was unusual for this property and we were just unlucky.

Good location and layout, poor condition

Pros: Good location 5 minute walk to beach and 10 to the main part of the town of Duck. House had a good layout of rooms, large main areas. Decks are in very good condition (good for avoiding splinters). Cons: Most of the house is in quite poor condition, not well maintained. Examples - wood strip behind kitchen counters peeling off; blinds on windows were cheap junk and probably half did not have the ability to open/close, at least one was held up by duct tape; old linoleum floors in bathrooms in terrible shape; carpet could have been new or old but smelled musty; old dishwasher was loudest one I’ve heard in decades; outdoor shower overgrown with vines and moss. There were also a few cockroaches that we saw and stains on a bathroom wall from other people killing cockroaches, some ants in kitchen first few days. Overall, I don’t intend to stay here again, but we could if necessary

Great stay, clean property, no complaints

Great location that is halfway between town shops and restaurants and the beach. We were able to walk easily to each, though often took bikes. Would stay again.

Perfect location and terrific property.

Ole Duck Haven was a great value for our family and the perfect location to enjoy the beach and the town of Duck. The pool was great for kids and adults. Could use a large umbrella for a bit of shade but just a suggestion. The cottage was just as advertised and very clean when we arrived. The town was walking distance as was the public access to the beach. Highly recommend.
