really nice boutique resort. feel very secluded . excellent chef, the best in the island. we were having our honeymoon, and they made it become very special, staff very nice but management not friendly helpful to organize activities to explore the island

We would come back to Shantaa again and again!! The location, the grounds, the villas, the beaches, the pool, the restaurants and beach bars/cafes are sll beautiful! The food and drinks are top notch and the staff are genuinely the nicest people in Thailand. We were sad to leave but will aim to come back!

The Shaanta is a wonderful little boutique hotel on the very quiet island of Koh Kood. The restaurant is excellent, and I don't think that there is a better place to eat on the island. Having said that, by the fourth night I pretty much had the menu memorized. There is not much of a beach and very little that is in walking distance. This is definitely the type of place to come if you just want to sit back and relax. I found the rooms to be a little bit small and cramped. If you are coming I would limit your stay to a couple of days and then head of the much larger and more interesting Koh Chang.

I feel the Shantaa Resort is the best option on Koh Kood. The villas are amazing with great A/C, clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and the ocean view is rocky which isn't that big of a problem. The beach is 200 Meters to the left which is an easy walk. You can rent a scooter for 350 Baht for 24 hours to explore the Island & try other local restaurants. The food was great (not too overpriced) and the staff were all super friendly. I would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay 2-night stay at the Shantaa during our recent trip to Koh Kood. We felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. The rooms were well spaced and very private feeling. The food at the restaurant was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast experience. The staff were amazing and we weree well looked after.

I’ve been to Thailand and other countries in south east Asia multiple times but Shantaa and it’s amazing staff really stand out! The rooms are spotless, the smiles are warm and friendly, everything is spot on. We cannot wait to be back.

Honestly, this place is amazing. The staff are wonderful. I have toured most of the island and pretty much every resort has been a bit run down and dirty, but Shantaa is clean. The staff are out every morning picking up any leaves that have fallen in the night and cleaning up any garbage that has washed up on the beach. From front desk, to restaurant staff, to the cleaning staff, everyone has been amazing. Do not hesitate to stay here. The food is amazing too. If there were a larger beach this place would be $1000 a night easily (rent a scooter and go to any beach you want). 5 stars, 10 out of 10, two thumbs up etc. etc…I will definitely be coming back. I cannot recommend this place enough. Oh, they’re very nice to animals too.

Great atmosphere. Relaxed and not crowded, making it perfect for a peaceful stay. The grounds are spacious with plenty of comfortable areas to sit and unwind, and there are activities to enjoy as well. The food is decent, and the staff provide excellent service. At night, the place is quiet and calm. There’s a private beach, and shops are within walking distance. Overall, I really loved it and would definitely come back again.
