Lovely hotel with super attentive staff, nothing was a bother. Helped us with arranging motorbikes, an excursion and taxis/tuk tuks. Located super conveniently to many beach bars, restaurants, convenience stores and massage parlours. Couldn’t recommend this lovely hotel more highly and the free freshly brewed tea and coffee in the reception for guests in the morning is a great touch.

The sweetest owner and best service!

Such an amazing hidden gem! The owner is extremely kind and so helpful. We had some trouble with a scooter accident and she helped us so much a with everything. The place is very cute and very clean. Good beds and a good pool. Would 10/10 recommend!

The room was well sized and clean, but the location is a good distance from any night life and the landlady, though friendly, did try to charge us double the going rate for scooter hire, and organised the most expensive taxi ride I've ever taken in Thailand, so don't ask for any additional services from this hotel as they are opportunistic in their pricing. The electric also had a tendency to trip. Overall very friendly and clean though.

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt! Sind mit einer Lebensmittelvergiftung angereist und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns best möglichst unterstützt! Das Bett war das beste Bett in dem wir in Thailand geschlafen haben - Erholung pur. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ich setze hier ganz klar Preis-/Leistung in Relation. Ja, wir haben kurzfristig gebucht, aber der Preis von 125Epro Nacht ist unverschämt für das was geboten wird. Das gesamte Hotel ist geschmacklos eingerichtet. Möbel veraltet und zusammengewürfelt. Am Pool gibt es 4 Liegen, ansonsten stehen Plastikstühle am Pool. Der Pool ist winzig und das drunherum ist nicht gepflegt. Das Zimmer ist furchtbar ungemütlich. Alte Möbel, kahle Wände. Das Bad ist beim Duschen überflutet da es klein ist und die Dusche nicht abgetrennt. Wenig Wasserdruck. Der Balkon bietet keinen netten Ausblick. Die Lage ist nicht gut. Zu weit weg vom Strand, der ohnehin auf der Höhe nicht schön ist, zu weit weg von guter Gastro. Man betritt das Gemeinschaftstreppenhaus und läuft barfuss bis zu seinem Zimmer. Wir fühlten uns wie in einem ungemütlichen Hostel. Dieses Hotel hat überhaupt nichts einladendes. Die erste Nacht verbrachten wir woanders. Nach der zweiten Nacht waren wir froh abreisen zu können. Gegessen haben wir in dem Hotel nicht. Dazu können wir nichts sagen. Für 20 bis 30E die Nacht in Ordnung, wenn man nur nen Raum zum schlafen braucht und mit kleinem Budget unterwegs ist. Die guten Bewertungen können wir uns nicht erklären. Wir buchten kurzfristig, auch auf Lanta, ein anderes Resort. Günstiger. Dieses geniessen wir gerade. Es geht also. Das Thip ist noch teuerer geworden....es ist unverschämt. Ein Ärgernis dieser Reise und mit Abstand das mieseste Resort dass wir je hatten.

Helt fantastiskt!

Vi är så nöjda med vår vistelse på Lanta Thip House, vi skulle egentligen bara bo en vecka på thip house men bestämde oss att stanna på koh lanta och förlängde vår vistelse en vecka till, helt fantastisk personal, bra läge, uthyrning av moppe, god frukost och riktigt rena rum med grundlig städning varje dag. Personalen är hjälpsamma med precis allt du kan tänkas behöva hjälp med! Finns ingen frukostbuffé utan du beställer från en meny, vilket vi först tänkte var lite 😴 men frukosten var bättre än många andra frukostbufféer man ätit i Thailand. Ett stort tack till personalen på Thip house, ni är fantastiska ❤️ kommer vi till koh lanta igen så vet vi vart vi ska bo!! Vi fick matförgiftning under vår vistelse i Thailand och personalen kom upp med vatten och bananer åt oss 🥰 mer kan man inte be om! Om vi fick påpeka något som kunde underlättat vistelsen så skulle det vara duschdraperi på badrummet och små handdukar för händer. Annars har vi inget att påpeka! 10/10 hotell och personal! ❤️

Très beau séjour à Kho Lanta.

Personnel sympathique, serviable et accueillant. L’enregistrement a été rapide. Nous avons eu une chambre avec un grand lit donnant sur la rue. J’avais demandé deux lits jumeaux et une chambre donnant sur la cours arrière. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre mais, la chambre proposée était moins intéressante, même avec deux lits jumeaux. Une seule clé de disponible qui contrôle également l’électricité de la chambre. Donc, à chaque retour dans la chambre c’était comme dans un four. Session de Clim au max. requise pendant 15-20 minutes pour enfin obtenir du confort. Les chambres sont très propres et les lits sont confortables. Par ailleurs, elles ne sont pas insonorisés. L’hôtel est bien placé, pas loin de la plage avec des beaux petits restos et aussi des magasins tout autour. Par ailleurs, c’est loin de Long Beach qui est la plus belle plage. Des locateurs de petite moto à 200 THB/jours sont à proximité.

Extremely clean and comfortable stay. Lovely and clean pool, very quiet and tranquil. Very helpful host in arranging tours, motorbike rental, and ferries all at a discount. Small town with shops, restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Came for 3 nights and stayed 2 more at this amazing hotel Everything was amazing, great stuff, clean, good location in the middle of lanta, very quiet, the rooms are very comfortable and clean Thip is amazing, was helping with everything; motobike, laundry, breakfast and taxi Thanks alot and i will come back

Super séjour

Un super accueil avec une patronne très aimable. L'hôtel est propre et très agréable, la piscine est superbe et très appréciable. Les petits-déjeuner dont ils revendiquent la spécialité ne sont pas fous mais correct, un petit déjeuner plus local serai un plus. Ils servent un vrai expresso et c'est un plaisir d'en prendre un en Thaïlande.

Overpriced, noisy and far away from the beach

We spend our first night at Koh Lanta in Lanta Thip House. The room was very clean and the receptionist friendly. BUT the room was also very noisy since the hotel is located next to the main road. We could hear traffic all night even when the Aircondition was on. The hotel is quite far away from the beach compared to many other hotels in the area. And we thought it was very overpriced as we were able to get a bungalow on the beach of a better standard for the same price. Don't understand how this hotel gets such a good review.

Great place, friendly and helpful staff

Great stay at this hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Renting a scooter at the hotel was cheap, convenient but also necessary. On this island the distances are to far to do everything by foot. It would be nice if they out soap in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Nice hotel & lovely staff

Really nice hotel, very clean with pleasant helpful staff. We booked the deluxe room which was slightly larger than the standard rooms, and also had a balcony view of the garden and pool. The bed was comfy, room very clean and nice shower, but the issue we had that gave this place 4 stars was lack of noise insulation between adjoining rooms. We could hear our neighbours having a normal conversation (we didn't know what they were saying as we couldn't speak German), but also their daily bedtime aerobics!! The hotel has a pleasant relaxed atmosphere around the pool and garden area, but its approx 15 minutes walk to the main beach area of Klong Khong. There are plenty of motorcycle taxi's that will charge around 50 Baht to take you the short distance. The hotel staff will assist you with any booking you wish to make for trips or taxi, and recommend things to do. We hired scooters through the hotel which were really good condition and reasonable priced. The coffee was good at the hotel, but we were not too impressed with the breakfast . ...it was ok, but there are plenty of other nearby restaurants that offer better. Overall, a really nice hotel, that would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the noise issue between the rooms.

Tolles ruhiges Hotel.

Alle Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend. Konnten gut Englisch. Ganz in der Nähe zum Strand. Sauberer Pool. Alles sauber. Internet funkt gut. Mopedvermietung. Alles unkompliziert. Haben hier verlängert weil es so toll war!

Très bon service

5 nuits dans les Garden view. Au calme de la route principale, leur petite terrasse est bien agréable. On peut aussi profiter du jardin avec des tables. Propriétaire très accueillante, bon anglais, prestations que nous avons utilisées (scooter, taxi, ferry pour Phuket) fiables. Petit dej inclus un peu léger mais cohérent avec le prix de la chambre. Il est conseillé de louer des scooters (choix de qualité à l'hotel) pour cet hotel bien placé dans l'île pour explorer les plages autour ou se rendre à la grotte ou dans la vieille ville sur l'autre côte. La grotte "Khao Mai cave" est impressionnante, balade sympa pour la rejoindre mais attention escaliers dehors et dedans, ne convient pas aux personnes ayant des difficultés pour se mouvoir ou en surpoids. Vieille ville "old town" agréable à visiter, café, restos, magasins de souvenirs dans les vieilles maisons en bois. Etre prudent en moto, parties de route en mauvaise état, pas de problème en roulant doucement et concentré.

Great hotel with excellent service

We initially booked a room for 2 nights and then added on another 3 nights. The first 2 nights were in the main building, then we were upgraded for free to one of the garden view rooms. Both rooms were very clean with absolutely no bugs. The garden view room is much newer and has a great balcony with chairs. The garden itself is pretty and peaceful. If you stay in the main building, you can still use the garden since there are chairs and a table. We rented a moped for a good price directly from the hotel which I highly recommend. The hotel's location is great if you want to explore the whole island since it's in the middle. You can also book day trips at the hotel. The prices were good. We booked 2 and they were both amazing. The free wifi was the best and most reliable we ever had in Thailand. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. My boyfriend forgot his passport at the hotel (it was a deposit for the moped) and didn't realize it until we were in Krabi town 3 hours away. Thip house was so incredibly nice to send it to us the next day with the first ferry so we could catch our plane the same day. Excellent service!

Not the best location

The hotel was off the main road and not walking distance to anything. The hotel was basic and clean with good service. Just not close to the beach or any restaurants/shops. Definitely get a motorbike if you plan on staying.
