Very nice place for the 2 of us during our stay in Hawaii. Great location on the island and quiet at night. Would definitely recommend!

This clean bright studio apt is located just across the street from the best snorkeling beach. The beach chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards were great for our outings. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. There are nice kitchen chairs but no chairs for relaxing. The pool is clean and lovely.

We enjoyed our stay here immensely! The location was perfect- we walked every morning along the coast, enjoying the beauty all around us! The mattress was so comfortable and felt wonderful to sleep onafter a long day of adventures! The only problem we had was with the lockbox. It was very difficult to open to get into the unit. Also there was no sugar in the unit so i left some for the next guest to enjoy with their coffee! Mahalo for the sweet accomodations!

Great little apartment for two in Koloa

The apartment was fantastic, it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The room itself was clean and the shared spaces in the complex were beautiful and well maintained. Only negative experience was it being pretty hot when we first entered the room. After about an hour of the AC being on it cooled down to a comfortable temperature, so at the end of the day it wasn’t a huge issue. It has a great location near the ocean and walkable/short drive to multiple beaches, restaurants, and stores. I never had trouble finding parking. I would recommend renting this unit.

VACATION NIGHTMARE

DUE TO PLANE DELAYS, ARRIVED AT CONDO 11:00PM AND WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK CONDO DOOR. CALLED VACASA AND WAS TOLD TO ENTER CODE AND TURN DOOR KNOB WHICH WAS WRONG. WAS TOLD A PERSON WOULD COME NEXT DAY TO OPEN IT FOR US AND PANICKED. CALLED VRBO AND GOT IN CONDO IMMEDIATELY AT MIDNIGHT. STOVE DIFFICULT TO OPERATE & FACED A WALL TO EAT. TV WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET REGULAR CHANNELS AND HAD TO VIEW FROM BED. WE HAVE BEEN IN HAWAII 4 TIMES & THIS WAS THE WORST. WE WERE MARRIED IN LAHAINA 30 YEARS AGO AND IT HAD ALWAYS LEFT VE RY PLEASANT MEMORIES. WE ARE 86 & 88YRS. OLD NOW & WISH WE HAD GOOD MEMORIES FROM THIS TRIP.

Poipu Condo

We enjoyed the location of the condo, a short drive from many beautiful beaches or restaurants and shops. It's a block away from the ocean, so it's easy to walk over for sunset ocean views, a swim at the small sandy beach nearby, or a look at the wave action on the rocky coves. The pool is in a lovely setting with lush trees and flowers and a nearby koi fish pond, but it's unheated so best for an afternoon swim. The condo is a nice size and worked well for us, and we didn't mind climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor (no elevator). People here were quiet at night, which was great. We appreciated the welcome treats and the comfortable bed. There was room to put our suitcases out on the racks provided in the alcove -- nice to have those out of the way. The desk area worked well for setting up a laptop, and there a comfortable office chair. The condo has 2 stools and a counter for eating but no dining table. Parking can be challenging at night when residents are all back at the property as the Prince Kuhio spots in the covered parking are narrow, so if any car is parked on or over the line, it's impossible to get into the next space. There is some free street parking but that is often full in daytime and during the nearby restaurant's evening hours. Poipu is an awesome vacation spot, and this condo is close to lots of opportunities for fun and relaxation.

Know what you want

This condo has been remodeled with a nice kitchen, bathroom, and floors. However, there is no place to sit other than the breakfast bar stools or the one desk chair. So if you want to watch TV, for example, you have to lie in bed. Also note that there is no private outside space like a lanai. So if you want to spend any time there you have to use a public space either by the pool or at picnic tables. We didn’t realize that, even though we realized afterwards that the photos didn’t show those features. Those things are important to us as we like to cook and otherwise spend time in our rental, so we asked to switch to another Vacasa-managed place - still paying the owner of this one - but asked that Vacasa reduce the double fees they would receive, but they refused. We would be responsible for all fees associated with both. Having stayed and other Vacasa homes we expected better customer service and were very disappointed that they wouldn’t accommodate us in any way.
