"We booked this VRBO for the front end of our heli ski trip. The plan was to spend two nights here and ski Revelstoke before moving to CMH Galena for a 4 day stay at their lodge. We had unfortunate news upon arrival in Kelowna that CMH had cancelled our trip. "Great old hotel, in a perfect location for exploring Nelson. They have done a great job of preserving/restoring the period feel while also providing modern amenities. One small complaint is that the fridge in our room (like many small fridges in hotels) was noisy."

"My husband and I stayed just one night. The property obviously has so much history and character. The grounds are so beautiful. I can see it being an incredible place for weddings. The property is very clean and we had everything we needed. We slept very well. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool and tennis court like we wanted. September weather can be tricky for the pool with the leaves falling all the time. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much. "
