They used fake room pictures. The actual room looked very old. The room was way too small. The bed sheet had several large areas of stains. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. However, the price was low and the location was convenient.

sewage back up in washroom, inform management said someone will come in 5 minutes but no show.
The room is in bad shape and nothing works. Why put a broken TV there if it doesn't work

I intended to stay at *First Inn* , but from the very beginning, the experience was unreliable. The entrance looks nothing like what is shown in the pictures, and there are no clear instructions on how to reach the correct floor.
The atmosphere felt unsafe and unwelcoming , to the point where I decided not to stay. The lack of instructions and the condition of the place gave a sense of neglect, which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
I tried reaching out to the hostel directly to express my concerns, but I never received a response . A complete lack of communication from the establishment.
If you’re looking for a *safe and well-organized place to stay, I suggest looking elsewhere* .
The hotel room was as big as the bed, including a tiny bathroom. The location of this hotel is good, in the middle of Kowloon you are 5 minutes away from everything. So if you’re on a budget it’s perfect for a short stay. The facilities were good and working. The staff was friendly and helped us replacing a broken lightbulb in the room.
It was in a great part of town for tourists - very busy, lots to do. The check-in was in a different section from where you actually stay, which was also apparently the busiest section because it always took about 15-20 minutes to get the elevator which was quite annoying. Also, in the section where I stayed, the elevator didn't reach my floor - the top floor, which was manageable but also annoying lol. If you have tons of bags, you're pretty much out of luck walking up the last floor or two. The room that I rented in particular also had no windows.
However, I didn't find it disgusting or unbearable and it was ridiculously cheap so ^^ You make your choices.
The pictures are completely mis-representative of the property. The room was cleanish aside from the bed bugs. Likewise, they will charge you more after you get to the desk so bring cash of you stay here. Not fit for human consumption and the entire building is a fire-hazard.
On the other hand, if you want to brag about staying in Chungking Mansions and don't mind having a few low-quality nights sleep, you will definitely walk away with some stories in your pack and human excrement on your shoes.

Small prison cell but you get used to it
Room was much darker than on the picture and it didn't show how small the room actually was. All rooms are small in HK but I was not prepared for it. The AC and fan was noisy, even when I tried to turn it off. The guys in the reception at night were a nice bunch. A big problem was the queue to the elevator, I often took the stairs 10 floors rather than wait for 30 minutes.
I might return to this hostel if the price is reasonable, but then I will take a double room.
vert noisy of old aircondition, dirty, one towel providing for 2night, no providing soap.
Every service was terrible comparing with the similar price hotels in China.
I do not want to go there anymore.
All service requirement should be paid separately. and should pay tax at there separately and this contents has been included the end of reservation condition as smaller.
That means price is never cheap as that syle hotel.
Staff are rude and unhelpful. Lift is a nightmare. Can take an hour to go up or down. If you like to be treated like trash by the staff then this is the perfect hotel for you.
