The dive operation portion of Buddy's resort was exceptional and the staff are wonderful. The drive-thru pickup is also very convenient. However this is been our second stay at buddy dive and we've asked for a king bed and their idea of a king bed is to push two twin beds together and put a comforter over it so you end up as a couple sleeping in the Great Divide between two mattresses. When I complain this time they put a duvet cover over it which did absolutely nothing. And for the weak air conditioning, and I mean one wall air conditioner for the entire apartment that essentially just keeps the bedroom cool and the rest of the apartment stays hot with not even a ceiling fan, we were told that's just the way it is.

Very convenient resort for diver, drive thru for tank fill up, reef on site and dock for boat dives on site as well, food could be improved and outlets really need to be replaced (room 409) they barely hold anything, they are completely worn out, it was a struggle to charge devices, this is a cheap easy repair that could really improve the room quality.

Ac was only in the bedroom but no AC in the living room making the living room & kitchen too hot to stay in there. Electrical outlets were wore out and would not hold our hair dryer and phone charges. There is not a plug in anywhere by a mirror to shave or style hair. The king size was not a king but two twin put together and the seams rubbing your legs then using twin sheets to cover the bed!

Delightful staff and for a diver, it doesn't get easier or more convenient of an experience. The reef is nice, different than what I expected putting it up against the Red Sea. Different things to see essentially. Red Sea would be more colorful in hard corals and clams while Bonaire has large gorgonians and massive pipe corals where you simply don['t see in Egypt. A very nice 12 day stay. Red Sea would be more of a highly restrictive dive environment. Buddy dive is the polar opposite. Regulation and restriction is at a absolute minimum. Not unsafe, just wonderfully open and free for an AOW diver to simply just come and do his thing. The only negative which almost every hotel falls short on is for longer stays, the beds simply are never comfortable enough. I will return to Buddy Dive when traveling to dive on Bonaire in the future, there is no reason to stay anywhere else. Brock Seals

There’s no Internet access unless you go to the restaurant and sit down, which was deplorable. And a warning to divers if that’s your reason for going there, the reef has suffered a lot in recent years, probably due to lionfish and there’s very little to see when you’re diving except for a turtle here and there and a lot of little fish Nothing big to see I’m not planning on going back.

Buddy Dive is right on the water and there are two sets of stairs that lead into the sea for divers to enter and exit easily. The reef is right offshore, and it was fantastic to be able to pick up our air tanks at the dive centre and walk in for our dives at any time of day or night. The dive centre staff are all super friendly and helpful. Blennies restaurant is on site and it is reasonably priced and with good food. You can walk offsite to ice cream and couple of other restaurants, but the town is a bit far to walk. We had a rental truck and unlimited tanks with the dive package so we were able to be quite free with our schedule, which I loved. I also my Advanced Open Water there and had a great instructor. A positive experience all around.

One of the best place to stay in Bonaire. Dive shop, diving and snorkeling right on site is great convenience. Not to mention water taxi to Klein Bonaire is right there too. Only thing I’d ask to improve is, wifi signal is terrible in room, but public area are ok.

Buddy Dive Resort is top notch and works hard to make sure you have everything you want or need. I am impressed with how helpful everyone has been! The shuttle from Buddy Dive Resort was outside and waiting for me even though the airplane arrived about an hour early. The receptionist helped carry some of my bags to my room, and a tech dive specialist made sure I had everything I need to dive my rebreather. He also was my dive orientation instructor. The room and property are beautiful and well maintained.

The property is a little ways from town. Car rental on site or at airport. Room was generally very nice quiet and tidy. Bathroom had black mold on ceiling and wood rot on door frame that allowed a couple of cockroaches to hide. Kitchen was a great have. Although the kettle was all rusted inside, there was plenty of cook ware and utensils. Bar/resultant on site is expensive and not that great. Went to run runners next door. Still expensive but better food. Overall I would recommend and return. The staff were great and helpful. Basically the units could use an update but safe and quiet. Great view and direct on beach with access for snorkeling or diving.
