Hotel looks great on first impression... Great design, rooms are huge. But not quite up to par. Electric curtains in room were faulty, washbasin tap leaky, water's not hot enough. Three bulbs flickering and one just gave out. You see worn corners and marks on furniture / carpets from wear and tear. And this is a pretty new hotel!
In-room dining tastes pretty bad (tried twice). Fried veg's too salty to be eaten, thai curry had same amount of oil as gravy, beef soup noodle had hot broth though noodle was cold in the middle. Thought its the general standard of food in the hotel, though breakfast (cooked local food) tastes decent. Hmm.
Service is bit rough at the edges though the team is sincere and tries hard. I cant fault them though perhaps mgmt could do a better job.
Not a terrible stay tho not an Intercon experience for sure. And the worst Intercon stay ever for myself personally!
