Not our favorite VRBO experience
location on the beach was great opening the sliding doors & heard the ocean. pics of the beach & narrow dune are accurate, &inside was pretty (outside was run down, esp. the splintering wood decks) & it was kind of clean (details below). Issues: check in/out info was confusing & contradictory. Even the woman we spoke with agreed. we had to drive across town for keys, a coded lock would be nice, esp. to check in after 5pm. description is not completely accurate ie: The comm. area doesnt look like the pics & there aren't 2 covered parking spaces. There is 1 covered & 1 uncovered. dining table was extremely sticky.(I hope from age not food). No working nightlights, in unfamiliar home this is a safety concern. The sheets and towels that we were forced to purchase were clean but don't look in or behind anything bec it was very cluttered and/or dirty. You pay for linens for max occupancy. The wifi wasnt working, when we called on arrival Sat were told to call back Mon. I lost over a day of work and it took away from my vaca to make it up. but on Mond the response was reasonable. You pay for 90% of parking, be aware. Power was lost during Ophelia & there was a radio chained to shelf but it didn’t work &no batts, as well as no ER lights (flashlight etc). With no radio we couldn’t track storm or hear ER info. Safety concern. Prior to arrival we rcvd email telling us to get more service, upto 24% disc, and no fees passed on to us don’t use VRBO or any 3rd party on next book
