"The Cross Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Kyoto! It was our first visit to Kyoto and Japan and we started here. It in a quiet but centrally located place. We met in the lobby with coffee and a view of their Zen garden and a quaint traditional Japanese street. The river is nearby, Starbucks and wonderful restaurants, shopping. It was easy to get help from the friendly staff, our rooms at The Cross Hotel were large and comfortable, bathroom also."

"Kyoto Brighton is an elegant property. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. The vaulted ceiling in the hotel interior (6 floors high) gives an open feel and the lounge on the ground floor serves excellent desserts and beverages. Parking is easy and you are in walking distance from the Kyoto Imperial Palace and many delightful restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel. "
