Roaches!!!

I would not recommend this apartment. When I checked in, I immediately noticed there were roaches everywhere. It was extremely uncomfortable and unsanitary. I contacted the owner right away with video evidence, but instead of taking the issue seriously, they brushed it off and gave excuses. This is absolutely unacceptable for any rental property. Cleanliness and pest control should be a top priority, and unfortunately, this place failed completely. Save yourself the stress and avoid this apartment.

I highly recommend a stay at CityApartments. Everything was as promised, and they are really trustworthy. The communication with the staff was very clear, and he was available whenever we needed any help. The check-in was easy and smooth, and the apartment fine and clean.

It could be a good place to stay in Kiev but...

The apartment was a good size with a small kitchen, living area, bedroom and bathroom on the first floor of an old block one of the main roads into Kiev. The kitchen had an excellent cook-top and oven with a very good fridge and separate freezer. It was let down by having very few useful cooking implements, no microwave cooking implements and previously used dishcloths. The lounge was not very clean and the chairs for the table were dirty and smelled. One was filthy, smelt and was stained. The bathroom was a good size but there was no plug for the basin making it difficult to shave and the shower was partially blocked with water pooling and taking a couple of minutes to drain away. Also one roll of toilet paper was supplied for our four night stay. The apartment could easily be improved. It will take a lot more to fix the run down and shabby exterior with its broken front steps and dark, drab entrance area.

The rental agency City Apartments is good, they are very communicative and they manage a lot of apartments. But sadly this one wasn’t one of their best. The apartment itself is clean with clean floors, has nice fixtures, modern closets and kitchen but the living room couch and kitchen chairs had gross-looking stains on them and you wouldn’t want to sit on them. A simple steam-vacuum cleaning would go a long way. The sheets are dry-cleaned and clean but the comforter and mattress pillow top had large urine stains on it (which I took off ofcourse) and the mattress and pillows were very very uncomfortable. The mattress is old and had springs coming out of the top and into your back and the pillows were lumpy with many saliva drool stains as well. Both mattress and pillows desperately need replacing immediately. The apartment is on the 2nd floor next to a small dumpster which is unloaded every night at 5:00 am so if it don’t mind getting woken up by a dump truck and dumpster noises then you must be insane. And why not just put in 2 small dumpsters for an every other day unload schedule. The small shower capacity tank lasts just 1 shower per day until the hot water runs out so if you are 2 people then it is a race to who gets in the shower first, …not fun. And when a shower curtain starts to turn green and pink from old soap scum, I think its time to replace it. A little bit of money would go a long way for this place. It would only take €500 Euros to upgrade it 10-fold.

Apartment provides the basics at value price

Very easy and quick check-in. The exterior of the apartment building is not inviting, but inside the apartment you will find it to be clean and spacious. Many amenities have been provided by the property management, including washing machine with detergent, hot pot/stove/microwave, shaving kit, shampoo and bath soap, and even a toothbrush. The enclosed balcony was also convenient for drying washed clothing. There are several nice restaurants within 5 minutes walk as well as a Metro Station.

En grei leilighet med en del mangler.

Leiligheten var fin, men veldig dårlig utstyrt. Var ikke varmt vann på kjøkken og det ene badet. Sto skrevet i perm at man kunne ringe for renhold. Jeg mener utleier bør ta kontakt og informere at renhold blir utført når man leier leilighet i 11 dager. Ingen vaskeprodukter var plassert i leilighet, og leilighet var dårlig utrustet dersom man ønsker å lage mat selv. Litt langt til sentrum, men 10 minutter til metro. Leiligheten lå i rolige omgivelser.

室内はとても広く快適。セキュリティーもしっかりしていた。 アパートメントの場所は分かりずらく案内も看板も何もない。英語がまるで通じないためロシア語かウクライナ語、それと海外で使えるスマートフォンも必須。キエフは市内の英語表記がほとんどなく中央駅のインフォメーションでも地図はもらえない。キオスクを指さしてかさばるマップを買えを言われます。他のヨーロッパの国と比べ旅人に対しての行政側の配慮はまるでありません。そのうえホテルでもサポートを受けれないとなると完全アウェイのような状況になるので、安さだけを重視してアパート借りをするのはおすすめできません。 家族連れ、仕事での長期滞在であればいいかもしれません。

Clever design affordable apartment in Kiev

Very clever planning of the apartment with cute accents. The location is not bad with approximately 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station but be aware of very loud traffic noise so keep windows shut if you want to sleep well. Call the contact person in advance or you will waste 30-40 minutes until he arrive. Was a bit puzzled by a scarce supply of toilet paper (single roll). And buy detergent if you want to use washing machine. Overall nice apartment and pleasant stay I recommend it.

Great location for sightseeing. Small but in Europe/Kiev this is standard. Comfortable, with kitchen and fridge. Even though it is in the city, it was not too noisy. AC was a big plus in the bedroom. All in all had a very good experience!

Good value not far from center

Small but very comfortable apartment not super central but close enough. The flat is newly renovated although the building is quite run down and the elevator a bit scary. Overall good for the price
