"Impeccable service! So we did not indicate that we have two children joining us as we always do when we book our accommodation. The owner couple accommodated us in all ways, providing the children with meals and even remaking the bed such that it fit the four of us.
What stood out the most is that we have forgotten our travel adapter. When we did not respond to their email as we were out at the safari, the owner even drove out to the theme park to pass it to us. It was over 20 min drive out in...

"Staff was great but starting off with the parking that was weird because they had no sign and I had to go inside there to give me a map and then when I drove around looking for the structure itself, there wasn’t like a clear sign to say that you know this is where you’re supposed to park that was kind of frustrating. I mean, it’s kind of pricey for what you got. You have to pay for your drinks in the lounge I thought that would be covered but then again it was all right and then the food in the morning that was really great. I really enjoyed the food. In the interesting architecture in the interior was nice too that I appreciate but you know then again the problem is the value wasn’t as good. I don’t know if there’s other places in that small city to compare against. At night when I was hungry, we had to walk out in the rain looking for something to eat. There’s a lot of old school joints here and there, but it felt dated from a time long, long ago when it was gangster. The city was old and what can you expect?"
"This hotel has a special (cost-saving) cleaning regime. If you do not request for ‘full room cleaning’ before 8am, they will only empty rubbish bins and make the bed. As ridiculous as this sounds, they failed to even make our bed and did not replenish our toilet rolls!
The front desk staff were absolutely hopeless. On May 18, 2026, just before check-out, I asked an English-speaking so-called Manager, named Sagar H, to help cancel a restaurant reservation I had made in error since I did not have a Japanese phone number. He immediately refused saying that because I was leaving and the restaurant had not opened, he could not do it as I needed to be present in case there were cancellation fees. This was the most illogical and ridiculous excuse I had heard in a very long time and totally defeats the point of having a concierge at a hotel. They were incredibly unhelpful and demonstrated the classic Japanese rigidity to a point that it did not make sense. I was leaving for Nagoya that morning so I got in touch with the Marriott property I was due to check in to later that day over live chat. They called and cancelled the booking for me within 5 minutes. The difference in attitude and ability explains why your staff work at such a poorly-run hotel like yours, and not for an international brand."
"It was an interesting concept where guests remove their shoes and place them in lockers at the lobby. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the guest room corridors, was covered with tatami mats, creating a cozy and authentic Japanese atmosphere.
Check-in was fast and efficient, and the room size was very decent. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary cup noodles.
The onsen was one of the highlights of our stay. The public bath was spacious enough and never felt overcrowded. In addition, there were seven private onsen baths available for guests. Free ice cream was provided on the 13th floor, which is also where the onsen is located.
Laundry facilities are available on the 7th floor. The washing machines are free to use, and guests only need to pay for the dryer.
A complimentary noodle supper is served daily from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, which was a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The unique tatami concept, excellent onsen facilities, and thoughtful complimentary services made for a comfortable and memorable experience."
"If you want to experience authentic Japanese hospitality, Amane Resort is your top choice.
If you want to stay in a spacious, clean, well maintained room with your own onsen overlooking the ocean, Amane Resort is your top choice.
If I return to Beepu, I know where to stay.
PS the included breakfast is icing on the cake; it was delicious & full of options"
"The hotel room was a really good size, had a lot of room to place our luggage out. I loved how close it was to the train station, very walkable and convenient location! Only gripe was the AC does not work very well, it wasn't hot but defiantly wasn't cold at the max setting. There was a sign up explaining that there wasn't a designated AC per room, but rather for the whole hotel, so custom settings wouldn't work well. If you are okay with a warmer room, like during summer, I think it is perfect! But for me personally it was hard to sleep at night."
