"Everything was perfect at La Chaize. This was our third time and the reception still took time to explain about access, breakfast and all that we needed to know to get the best from the hotel. The Gentleman on reception took us to our room, which was at the rear of the main hotel building. He explained the features of the room such as the jacuzzi, electric velux window, etc. The room (41) was immaculate and well decorated. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and sauna. "It was a bit tricky to find but the gite was lovely - one large, spacious room except for a tiny shower. Well maintained except for a bit of a problem with drains ( a bit smelly). We were a bit unlucky because the owners were away on holiday. I think a few small issues would have been dealt with had they been on site."

"Only speaking minimal French it was difficult communicating with the manager, as she spoke no English. Likewise the information for the house was only in French. There was 13 of us and just had enough room to all eat together, but it was a squeeze. Also the oven and fridge are small for large group. Lovely big garden but uneven making it hard for the kids to play and run around. With all the space a swimming pool would have been good/useful as a little drive from any beach. The house was clean...
