“Beautiful Property, Tough August Stay — Saved by Incredible Staff We stayed at La Valise Los Cabos in August — beautiful property, but not the right season or setup for it. Temperatures hit 37°C, and AC was only available at night (apparently due to solar panel capacity limits), leaving daytime genuinely hard to bear. The property also sits in rugged, undeveloped desert with nothing walkable nearby, so you're confined to a small space while dealing with intense heat. Food and drinks were……

“We have stayed here many times over the years. Lovely place and they are handling bad storm weather and renovations of one pool well. We booked a pool view but there was no pool in sight from our room, no big deal since we not in the room much. Things have changed over the years as is natural but usually you hope it would be for the better. The aura doesn’t feel as serene or happy, they take away as much of the little things as they can that seem petty to complain about. Such as water……

“Overall a good stay of your looking for relaxation and not much to do. Property is clean and scenery is beautiful. We stayed in a treehouse and upgraded to an “air conditioned” one, but it wasn’t much help when the room was still very open air. We made it through given this is a very hot season, but I was not a fan of the small ants that were in the beds ,sink, and sheets. We made do, but I’ll probably opt out of treehouse stay the next time :) Not being familiar with the property besides what……

“The airport shuttle is a definite bonus, but the location of the hotel does leave something to be desired. There are very limited dining options in the vicinity of the hotel, and not much in the way of shopping. The fridge and microwave in the room is a nice touch. The Ruta del Desierto bus that runs along highway has a bus stop about 3 blocks from the hotel and is an inexpensive way to get into the more commercial area of San Jose Del Cabo. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room……
