The staff were very attentive and helpful. In the rooms towels were very, very old and unappealing, pillows were terribly old and worn out, food and drinks at the restaurants were very poor quality. The buffet was better then the restaurants they offer and definitely the resort needs to add more amenities.

The service was amazing, particularly from Roberto. His friendliness and welcoming personality really made our stay much more enjoyable. His customer service was excellent. Brissa and Gabriel were extremely helpful as well in booking reservations for us and making sure it went well. The service at The Grill for breakfast and lunch were the best as well. Specifically Sergio was fantastic with his friendly personality and attentiveness. The lack of service was very prevalent at the buffet. You’ll get your drink awhile after you first sit, but you pretty much have to get your own refill at the bar if you want another. The volleyball was fun when Angel got everybody to play. Overall this was a fantastic stay. We would stay here again in the future.

The experience with the hotel infrastructure and the subsequent attitude of management to offer any changes to mitigate our discomfort were appalling. On our first night, we noticed the latch on our balcony door was nonexistent; it had completely corroded off, we were missing furniture in our room and on the balcony, the cabinets and closet doors were warped and / or broken, there was a charred, melted and non-functioning electrical outlet right beside the bed, the toilet wouldn't flush and the sink drained very slowly. To the credit of the hotel staff, these issues were dealt with very quickly, and they upgraded our bracelets voluntarily, but they are FAR from their claimed 5-star rating, or even the 4-stars users have given. Our stay was fine for 2 days after initial check in and having the repairs completed, then we started to notice further deficiencies from what is marketed on Expedia... We first noticed there was very little shade on the property and the umbrellas and shelters they have in the marketing photos are non-existent. Then a sewage pipe burst outside our room and left us smelling raw sewage for the remainder of our stay. Then they had a power surge, and blew a power transformer wich was compensated-for by engaging a generator that was easily 180dB and directly below our room. With the room sealed the noise level was 65dB inside all day, all night, for 3 days. Then the AC broke and the temp was 29°C in our room. It just went downhill from there.

The views were fantastic, and staff was friendly and polite. Gabriel, our concierge was fantastic - very helpful and quick to respond to any questions and provided excellent assistance with all our needs.

Overall the resort had everything I was looking for. I stayed in the Altitude tower and highly recommend choosing that option. The restaurant for breakfast and lunch was a great treat. I never tried the buffet in the O restaurant as sticking to the Altitude amenities seemed much better. I enjoyed the adult only pool and beach chairs. The restaurants were good and having access to the butler to reserve tables was a definite plus. The staff were all great. Room clean and spacious. I’ll definitely go back.

The biggest problem was that the room we had had major traffic noice. Every morning traffic would wake us up at 5am. The resort backs on to the main highway of the area. The room door was about 150 feet away from the highway. I will not be staying at this resort again. Staff was good and accommodating. Food was fair.

Our room was great and buildings and grounds are well kept. A number of Improvements are needed: -main pool is way too cold; should be heated - constant shortage of lounge chairs; there’s room to add a lot more, especially at the beach. - better evening shows with more live performers - add more poolside entertainment - service from staff can be improved, especially at coffee bar and buffet; food should be cleared off promptly from buffet terrace tables so pigeons don’t feast freely On the positive side, the hotel is very clean and food was good. Beach fire pits were great. Check-in was quick and pleasant. The concierge services were outstanding. A big thank you to Gabriel for providing exceptional service!

The food and hotel was great, we really enjoyed our stay. We did find the room noisy, it was but the lobby and a lot of noise comes though the hall. Once I got earplugs I was fine. The lawn chair shortage is a problem, but Ive found that issue at all hotels.

The Resort was amazing..Literally paradise. Had an Altitude Swim Up and yeah..great vacation. Staff were great and helpful. The room was beautiful and well decorated. My gripes..Phone lines were down for room service and other options. The food was good overall but the buffet was terrible. Would definitely recommend very budget friendly!

The room was spacious and clean. The food was good, if a little repetitive. The pool areas were extremely clean, the towels were large and fluffy, the wait staff were attentive without being bothersome, and everyone was friendly. It was perfect for what we were looking for and we would definitely stay there again.

Very noisy room facing highway. Construction right outside the room. Every day at 5:40 am there was a loud what seemed like industrial or sewage truck making extreme noise for 40 minutes straight. Hotel refused room change, saying it’s a garbage truck it doesn’t happen often, I guess being tortured every day before 6am for 40 minutes straight is not too often... Too bad, otherwise would’ve been a great vacation

The front desk Expedia attendants were very friendly and super cool. Brissa is a STAR. There was a problem in my building with a loud generator and she was very kind and understanding. I saw her many times dealing with guests and colleagues with grace, kindness, and purpose. Brissa is excellent

In general the property met our expectations. Where it miserably failed: at check in room was not ready, could not find staff to take us to the room when it was. After finally getting to room we found there were no towels. Had to chase down and the bigger problem is that this happened 4 times in our two week stay.

Room had an amazing view, Staff was great l, room was cleaned well every day, water and refreshments restocked every day, location was phenominal, lots of whale acrion, resort was kept up well and washrooms were clean, food was tasty, live shows on the beach, propane fire tables on the beach at night. Good for families; lots of kids for our children to play with. AC wasnt very effective but otherwise it was a great stay.
