La Rochelle Hotel with Pool

"Had a lovely stay here for 2 nights with my husband and son. It’s very much a family atmosphere type of b&b, and you have breakfast in the owner’s kitchen with the other guests which is a lovely personal touch. Breakfasts are delicious with beautiful home made jams on offer. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. Particularly liked the double sink in our room which was a nice feature. The couple who run it are extremely welcoming and friendly and very helpful with giving tips on the local...

"We had great stay. It was a bit tricky to find our way in because of the pedestrianisation of the street where it is located. Despite having booked a parking spot, we were not given instructions on how to go about passing the electric bollards until we called the hotel on our second trial. But we were then given clear directions over the phone whilst traveling which was a great help. Despite the fact that like many places in France there is barely not many restaurants open on Sundays and Mondays...

"We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour. "

"We stayed for one night at this property. Great location with free parking close by. A good base for exploring La Rochelle. Would stay again but mattress not very comfortable and first hotel I have ever stayed in where they ask you to take your rubbish out yourself. It served a purpose and the bottles of water and sweets were a nice touch. "
