“We stayed the night before our cruise. $25 cab ride away from airport and from cruise terminal. Cabbie did not recognize hotel name as it was called something else. Staff did not speak English but check in was easy. Rooms were a good size. Very basic amenities. Just a bed and a table and chair ( I think). No towels in room. I think there was a small soap. Front desk guy went to find some towels for us. Bathroom was poorly lit and slightly moldy. Water was cold. Breakfast was eggs, toast, juice……

“Traffic noise was unbearable. Services were not as advertised. No english speaking staff during the day. ”

“We arrived at the apartment and it was just as the picture's it had everything we needed..Vlad is an amazing host...he goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need...he even arranged our transportation needs...Dorian was our driver he also went out if his way...took us grocery shopping...very happy indeed. ”

“The guesthouse is situated overlooking the ocean but it is well hidden. Don't give up! Follow the unpaved road around and you'll find a gem. The proprietor is friendly, will provide breakfast, arrange take-out meals and transfers if needed. We enjoyed our stay. ”

“The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with an pool and bbq grill option makes the perfect stay at Casa de Campo. Jaime was very attentive and answered right away to our emails. A few minutes away from the charming town Altos de Chavon and a few extra minutes to get to Minitas beach. All in, an amazing first experience at CDC for my family! ”

“The area looked beautiful in photos but it really was not feeling safe. We had an overnight before cruise and mainly just stayed in the room. The beach was lovely but we didn’t feel comfortable eating anywhere near this small hotel no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs to higher floors. No where close to get a coffee in the morning.”

“We had a great stay, perfect for couples or anyone who wants a relaxing, cosy base to enjoy Casa de Campo for a few days. About a 10 minute golf-cart drive to minitas beach, and a 17 minute drive to the marina. ”

“Very clean and exactly as advertised. Included in the price is someone to come clean in the mornings. Martina was warm and wonderful and made us a fantastic breakfast one day. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet. Location is fantastic - close to restaurants, shops, and across from a decent sized grocery store. The spot to park a golf cart if you decide to rent one is right out front. ”

“Staff support was great! Elio Jean (Mgr) tried his best to help us. However, the hotel is terrible! The bathroom was falling apart, plumbing in disrepair, no shower curtain, only 2 bath towels (no hand or face towels) and only a chunk of soap. Ceiling light was hanging down by the wires. The WiFi did not extend to our room. There were dogs barking all night and then a rooster beginning at 5AM. The neighbourhood was noisy and seemed unsafe. Difficulty finding breakfast without walking for……
