The welcoming staff was very nice and kind to inform us about La Spezia, Porto Venere and Cinque Terre. The room was clean and very big (which was nice) for two person stay. Just the heating system didn’t work at late night, so in the morning we felt cold.

Totally Horrendous a truly awful experience
The Rooms are fine, the business etiquette of the owner of this property absolutely stinks. We booked Lia Rooms for a two night stay which due to flight times always meant we would be arriving late at night, as per the advice from expedia I proactively contacted lia rooms to advise of this fact, after my second email they responded advising that I would need to call a specific number 30 mins before arrival (fine) however there would be a 40 euro surcharge if this was past midnight, ergo, one could presume they were prepared to do this. On the day of travel we were unfortunately re-routed to Milan due to fog in Pisa, we called the accommodation at 11:35 pm to advise them of this whereby they rudely informed the person speaking to them on my behalf (a fluent Italian) that they would not be attending the property at this time of night anyway! and we could forget any hopes of staying there for the second night because we were now regarded as being a "no show" and due to our booking being non-refundable as per the T's & C's they did not need to allow us to stay for the remaining night of our trip, Expedia tried to request a refund/honour the second night, they would not budge! We were therefore forced to pay again for our second night i.e. pay twice for the same accommodation. This was a long awaited trip for 18th wedding anniversary which was totally wrecked by the insensitivity and unwillingness to see that this was a situation totally beyond our our control! V V Poor

Beautiful new rooms, but facing the train station, so lots of noise from there. Beware of the check in practices this lady uses. If you get there in the times written it shouldn't be a problem, but if you don't expect an ever changing fee upon arrival.

Great find in Milan
Room was adequate but the staff was excellent. Breakfast room was delightful and the typical Italian fare was very good. Excellent location!

Great Room
Staying close to the train station made it easy to catch the train to Cinque Terre for a day visit. The plaza is also within walking distance with nice shops and restaurants. The room is a bit of a challenge to find, the call button has a slightly different name. Also, cross the street from the train and take the stairs down to the road you need to get to the room. Great shower, small bathroom but modern. My daughter and I were comfortable.
