"The location was great for seeing the castle and the old town. The decor is tired and could use a little attention. The breakfast was okay. They could use an additional coffee machine as the wait for a cup of coffee was quite long."

"Avoid at all costs Staff are unhelpful and borderline rude. Booked a double room for sole occupancy and was given a twin room. When I protested this was not what was booked I was fobbed off. I asked to speak to the duty manager and waited over 30 minutes before going back to reception. Duty manager was aware I’d asked to speak to them but decided I wasn’t her priority. Fobbed off that the hotel was fully booked and could not change my room and offer no alternative so agreed they would give me a refund and checked out. Went to another hotel. Now radio silence and struggle to get an answer from them with regards the refund. This hotel is tired and dated and the room I was given just felt unclean so I wasn’t prepared to stay there. Won’t be going back "

"The Powis House Lodge is a refurbished older property that is quirky yet well proportioned. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is excellent. The rental is good overall however some attention to small details could improve the stay, such as kindling or fire starters for the fireplace or an information book containing directions (location of switch for towel heater etc). The location is convenient for visiting sites and the combination of the hot tub and the fireplace make for a relaxing end to the day. "

"I wouldn't say this is not a cottage. It's more than that, and better. This unit is one of two, attached to the estate withprivate entrances/exits, all very nice. You have permission to walk around 75% of the grounds and you can eat ripe apples or any fruit that's ready. The town, restaurants, groceries, and tourist attractions are all short drives. Enjoy. "

"This was a well located and appointed flat. We didn’t realize the intersection was so busy. But happy to report like others have, we had silence each night, just in time for for sleeping at night. :) the beds are comfy. Be prepared to busy some of your own spices if you plan to cook.We had really timely response and support from Fraser and Ben and their team! Recommend this property, ease of parking nearby and convenient location for all you want to see in Stirling!"

"Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They offered suggestions as to restaurants, sites and the surrounding areas. The location was ideal. It was close enough that we took the hour walk into Stirling, but bus stop was just 2 blocks away, and the busses ran frequently. It is located at the base of the Wallace Monument. It is a steep walk up to the monument, but it can be done. The apartment was very clean and had a washer/dryer. "
