Lovely old style auberge. So much character. Stairs only, so tough if any mobility issues. Could use new pillows would be my only suggestion. Staff and owners were so lovely. Close to bike paths and lake. Amazing food.

C'est une auberge qui a plus de 150 ans donc les services ne sont pas modernes (salle de bains, etc.) mais c'est très sympathique, accueillant et propre. Le déjeuner était excellent.

We came at a quiet time so felt like we were king and queen of the castle. Jacob, who was incredibly attentive was also friendly, helpful and sweet. The Inn has a lovely old-school charm with great food and excellent service.

We loved our stay in this historic inn in one of this historic, scenic, yet still lively small town. The bilingual staff were very attentive and we enjoyed having drinks by the pool. The wraparound porch (used for breakfast) is one of a kind—I wish guests could make use of it the rest of the day. Guests should be aware that the rooms, although comfortable, are small (at least ours was). But you want to be out and about in a town like this, walking, biking, swimming, shopping, dining... All within a short walk from the property.

N'hésitez surtout pas d'aller à cet magnifique hôtel ancestrale, on se sent comme si on est dans un musée .Un vrai bijou du patrimoine. En plus, c'est une entreprise familiale!!! Lakeview Inn is located 5 min. walk from Knowlton restaurants so everything is at a walking distance - nice. You are stepping back in 1870 in this Inn which is a great experience if you like historic buildings. The room was small but clean and quiet. Amenities are basic with the room we had: toilet, shower, sink, tv, coffee machine (but no fridge). We slept well. The front desk area lady is bilingual, of course, and very friendly and helpful. Note that the breakfast restaurant area is open only starting Thursdays but not earlier in the week. We were able to explore the area via all the bike paths. All in all, a great stay.

The historic, rambling, quaint inn is perfectly situated in a lovely town. The rooms are comfortable, the public spaces are interesting and the owners are involved and very hospitable. We had breakfast in the on-site restaurant and aside from it being delicious, we had excellent service. I would happily stay again in any of the seasons as the community has activities all year round.
