Puamana 177-1 is like staying at a Hawaiian home. Living area is 1250 SQ FT with 220 SQ FT of front and back lanai’s and a added on room to the rear of unit that provides a 3rd bedroom at night. It has an 800 SF backyard and 300 SF front yard which includes a unique front lanai that has a Pacific Peek-A-Boo with sounds of the ocean’s breaking waves.
Welcome to Puamana, an oceanfront tropical oasis. The community property is 30 acres of lush tropical gardens, open spaces, and beachfront. It is in the most southern tip of Lahaina, the sunniest, warmest, and driest area on Maui. There is no wonder why early Hawaiian Royalty preferred to live in Lahaina.
Historic Lahaina Town is a 15-minute walk, a 5-minute drive or $10 Cab Ride into downtown Lahaina, a lively oceanfront town with a harbor, restaurants, bars, shopping, and attractions.
Welcome to Puamana 177-1! One of the largest 2-bedroom 3-bathroom, 2-story units. There are 4 king beds, the 2nd floor bedrooms have kings, and the 1st floor has 2 king murphy beds that can be separated with a sliding room divider. The king murphy in the dining area requires the kitchen table on sliders to be moved into kitchen area.
177-1 Updates / Upgrades
2023 Updates. 1. New Bosch stainless steel dishwasher, New LG stainless steel over the range microwave, New GE glass cooktop with oven. 2. Five new 12 outlet power stations with 4 USB charging ports. 3. New GE stacked front loader washer and dryer.
2022 updates include 1. 82" Samsung 4K TV with Vizio Dolby 5.1 surround system 1A, Added a 4th king size murphy bed on first floor. 2. All new outdoor furniture for both front and rear lanai 3. New sofa for the downstairs theatre area. 4. A 74” work desk that has 3 gromets that offers 6x AC outlets, and 10x USB device charging ports, and there are also 5x open plug-in 1Gb ethernet ports. The desktop is a one stop worksurface for charging of all your devices. We also provide pens, notepads, stapler, Scotch tape. 5. A new 36” 4 burner Blackstone style propane griddle with all the accessories, which includes 2x griddle spatula’s, a grill press, a laser cooktop temperature reader, there is virtually nothing you cannot cook on this griddle. Exceptional for breakfast items, chops, steaks, fish, burgers, vegetables, the list is endless, and you don’t have to worry about setting off the smoke detector in the kitchen. 6.Two new clothing armoires, one in the upstairs master bedroom and one next to the downstairs 4th King Murphy bed.
Puamana Amenities
Puamana Resort has 3 Pools to relax and catch some rays. The stunning Ocean Pool, The Dolphin Pool (kids) and the largest one the Mountain Pool. The Puamana Clubhouse oceanfront patio, adjacent to Ocean Pool is a large unique ocean front patio with pool lounger chairs, and tables with chairs. There is a bar area on the Puamana patio open to all guests 9 AM – 9 PM that has a fridge, a sink, a 50” HD TV with a cable tuner, and a bathroom if you need to take a break from the sun or want to spend a great sunset on this beautiful ocean front patio. There is an oceanfront gym located just above the bar area on the 2nd floor. Workout with an ocean front view! There is a usage fee payable to Puamana directly of $25 a day or $100 a week to use this facility. Puamana now has a newly updated pickleball court adjacent to the mountain pool and tennis court in front of the Puamana Clubhouse. All necessary equipment is provided for guests at no charge. Reserve at the Puamana Clubhouse.

Amazing location and place

Trip of a lifetime
I can’t express how grateful I am for the amazing property we rented for our first Maui trip. I brought my kids from New York and California and we were sitting blown away by the accommodations to cook in the house, walk drive or bike to old Lahaina, and just relax and enjoy the most beautiful place in the island. We went north for a luau, did the Maverick helicopter tour, a sunset sail, and snorkeling - do it all. PAC whale is the place. This house is something illlook to do for my family every year!

Clean, nice to have beach chairs and umbrella available. Owner was responsive to any issues. Only a short jaunt to the beach, and close to downtown. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. We had no issues with parking with 2 vehicles.

Perfect location for enjoying Lahaina
This property was perfect for our family as we needed 3 beds and a minimum of 2 bathrooms. We were able to enjoy the amenities and walk to our destinations most days with the exception of Hana, obviously. We did have to play musical beds for everyone to find their perfect bed comfortability but the fact that there were options was much appreciated. The owner provided laundry tablets which was perfect as there is no way to avoid sand getting on clothes and your body (unless you avoid the shoreline completely). We hope to stay again in the future!

Excellent location and value for our money. Was a little run down and could use a more thorough cleaning (lots of dust on decorative items and under beds). Not as pictured in ad photos. Second bedroom upstairs had mildew smell and noted on walls. There was a sign on bulletin board that said to just deal with it. Thought this was a little strange reaction to have. Upstairs bathroom shower curtain repeatedly fell off hooks and didn’t slide smoothly open/shut. We had three adult couples staying together for a friends wedding. Upon arrival, the Murphy bed downstairs was not even made up to accommodate us and missing pillow cases. It took until the next day to receive those items. Also, there was no place to hang up dresses for the couple downstairs. The small closet near the Murphy bed wasn’t long enough. The a/c takes quite a bit of time to cool down the unit especially when have to shut off upon leaving. Parking is a nightmare for more than two cars. Second car costs $10 a day parking and any additional vehicle needs to be parked outside the gates requiring a hike to get to the unit. Also had to have our friends drive us to our vehicle as the gate has a sign that pedestrians cannot exit through the gate. Was very inconvenient. As couples, we wanted the opportunity to explore on our own without being dependent on each other leading us to each have our own vehicle. Security made zero exceptions and you will be towed for any unauthorized vehicles. Make sure you register. Office staff in the clubhouse were very nice and helpful. Our group travels together frequently and was very excited to find a location with three king beds. However, this unit is much better suited for a family due to all the difficulties with parking our vehicles. It was a very lovely, clean location that felt incredibly safe.

Place is clean but a smaller space than pictured online. Necessities e.g. salt and pepper, pots and pans, cookware, toilet paper, trash bags are already provided which was very helpful. Cleaning supplies are also complete so we swept and cleaned with paper towel and disinfecting spray.

Nice location but nasty property.
We liked the location but didn’t enjoy the property. The pull out couch is nasty like the property. The mattress was so old it felt like laying on the frame. The place was clearly run down. The property managers just dropped off and air mattress when we complained. Around the property there is a laundry list of stuff not to do and what to put up with like you can’t use the garbage disposal, the air conditioner leaks. The pullout couch is a joke. Let’s not mention the roaches, ants and lizards running around inside. When we pointed this out we were told it was fine by property management. We paid over $600 a night here. What a rip off.

Nice home in a quiet community
It was our first time in Maui so we didn’t realize that a lot of the ocean front is rocky. So there was no easy access to a beach area on the property. You’d have to drive to a nearby beach area. The back of the unit faces the main road so we often woke up early with vehicle sounds. If you’re a deep sleeper, you probably won’t notice it. Otherwise it’s a lovely home and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous property in my favorite part of Maui
My husband and I took my parents for this trip and the house was perfect for us. 3 full baths, TVs with cable in all rooms, front and back lanais for chilling, washer/dryer, and an INCREDIBLE view for nightly sunsets just steps away. All of the beds were super comfy. This property is part of an immaculately kept gated neighborhood right off the water—it’s far superior to any of the hotels honestly. We liked feeling as though we were part of the community. We loved watching the wild chickens and many different native birds on the back lanai. My family had breakfast and dinner together every night of our 9-night stay and it was absolutely lovely. Humongous mango trees where you can pick ripe mangoes in front of the main office. Fairly close to several less-touristy beaches, an easy jaunt to Fleming Beach and Honalua Bay. Multiple pools on the property, including an ocean pool. The neighborhood is nice and quiet in the evenings (so it’s not for people seeking to throw loud parties) and feels very safe. Tip: if you are going grocery shopping at Safeway, go EARLY in the morning as early as you can (they have an excellently curated wine section and lots of variety but it gets cray in there with way too many people.) Easy distance to lots of local restaurants in Lahaina Town (we avoided the main section of Front Street due to crowds, but there were many places a street or two over.) Several food trucks in the Safeway parking lot, including a plant-based one that became our fave. We chartered a private yacht for a morning sail out of Lahaina marina a few minutes from the rental and it was worth every moment. Highly recommend Kareem’s house for family/friend groups of people seeking to skip the hotel/resort scene. Great communication from the owners to help us ensure we had completed our diligence for Maui Covid rules. We loved our stay and will be back :)

The Townhouse was perfect for all our needs-- family of four with two adult children who just graduated from college. The complex is private, beautifully landscaped with nice amenities. It is within walking distance of charming downtown Lahaina so anyone could go there without transportation. The townhouse was nice with good A/C, extremely comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen., large beach towels, beach chairs and 1st floor laundry. We loved the Clubhouse and pools- especially ocean-side pool. We loved Puamana 177-1and will definitely stay there again!! Thank you

Maui Beach-front condo
We enjoyed our vacation in Maui very much. The condo was nice and its location is ideal. It has beach access and several pools. The vast majority of units are owner-occupied and very well kept. It's within walking distance of Lahaina, perhaps a mile, along a beachside road. Lahaina is crowded with cars with very little free parking. In fact the entire island of Maui is crowded with cars. The highway to Hana was bumper-to-bumper each way on Saturday, but the beaches on the upper side of the island are fantastic with immense surf and sea turtles. There are beautiful beaches everywhere and great restaurants in cute little towns like Paia. Kahulahi has every imaginable big box store but not a lot of charm. I recommend Lahaina for beauty and charm.
