Loved staying at the property
We had a fantastic time staying at this lakefront property in Arrowhead. All the bedrooms were clean including the kitchen and restrooms. Bill was very responsive to any questions I had before and during our stay. More importantly we got the bragging rights to say that we stayed at a place previously owned by Dick Clark. :) All in a wonderful place to stay and very close to the market so you easily get your groceries or access other restaurants nearby.

Great place and location!
Planned a weekend getaway for my family and this home was perfect for us. Clean, ample room and all the basic necessities needed for our trip! Bill communicated well, instructions were clear, looking for to booking again in the future!

Love Dick Clark's house!
This was our second summer spending 4th of July at the Dick Clark house and loved it just as much. We love all the memorabilia. The location with the dock was perfect for us. We all love to be in the water, and going down the stairs to the lake was heaven. Plus my sisters have boats and picked us up so easily with our own dock. We were also able to walk to the village for the concert. The cabin has plenty of bedrooms so we all were very comfortable. The game room is great for the kids to play video games and watch movies after being on the lake all day. Bill the manager is always so responsive and helpful. Everything was wonderful! Hope to stay there again!

Perfect place for families that have ALA members that already have homes and boats on the lake. Couldn't ask for a better combination. We love to share the experience of Lake Arrowhead with our guests. Many of our guests have in turn purchased homes as a result!

Snowy visit!
The night we checked in Lake Arrowhead had a bigger snowstorm than expected, and the owner’s snowplow driver was on vacation. So we were snowed in! Luckily the house is so well appointed and comfortable that we were able to entertain ourselves and enjoy our white Christmas. This house has probably the best supplied kitchen of anyplace we’ve rented (mixer, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, crock pot, plenty of pots and pans, a huge griddle, indoor grill, enough plates/silverware that you don’t have to run the dishwasher after every meal, an empty pantry to store the food we brought and more). Little things like tissues in every room, flashlights for power outages, fireplace matches, dish towels, and a few toiletries were really appreciated. Highly recommend!

We are delighted when our guests enjoy their stay despite unexpected challenges. We do our best to make sure there is wood for a warm and inviting fire and all the comforts the kitchen has to offer for a hot meal and a some family conversations around the dining room table. The plow finally arrived and all is well!

It was my 29th birthday and first ever little vacation!
It was my 29th birthday and first-ever vacation it was a nice little getaway from home and it was fairly close to the area I live in. I couldn't have asked for a better time and location and the house was amazing and suited us in all our needs. The house and all the amenities are exactly what was listed in the description and Bill was such a great help in explaining everything and directions to the house and all the fun stuff to do while there at the house which was right on the lake! A whole family and all the kids had such a great time they didn't want to leave and we put everything to use like the paddle boats and the dock which we were able to jump right off of into the water and swim and the water was exceptionally clean and fresh and the weather was great while we were there. Thanks again bill for making our stay there at the lake house an exceptional one. Can't wait to come back. P.s. all the Dick Clark artifacts and memorabilias were also a great sight to see and read up on and we couldn't be more blessed to stay in such a historic house.

Great Location & Accommodations
We had a wonderful long weekend stay here. It was the perfect way for our family to get together in a comfortable "COVID bubble". The house is great and well equipped. The property manager, Bill, was very responsive and super easy to work with. Unlike most rentals, this house has some interesting history behind it which made the stay even more memorable.

Fantastic Spot
The house was spacious and clean and the location simply can't be beat. Well stocked for every kind of lake fun -- canoe, paddle board, life vests... all you need, already there. Not all lake spots are created equal; this one boasts lovely views and calm waters. Washer dryer a big plus for families too. And Bill who manages the property was responsive and exceptionally helpful. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway
All was fantastic.... during this crazy covid 2020 this was the perfect get away with ours and another family. Bill was great and the lodge fit our needs perfectly. Separate hang out room for the kids was really nice. The Dick Clark memorabilia and Elvis Throne :) was a bonus.

We loved it!! Great secluded location and treasure of a house
We loved it!! Fantastic views, perfect location on a secluded bay away from the crowd. Once up the mountain, it is very easy drive to get to the property. Access to hiking trail lakeside right out your front door. Your own dock to sit on and swim from. Besides the kayak and canoe, there are other water inflatables and water toys to use. Great kitchen, so much fun to cook on the griddle and BBQ grill. Dick Clark was of course a icon of entertainment. It was a real treat to ramble around the home he loved for over 20 years. Still authentic to the time he lived there. A true treasure, architecturally interesting and lovingly kept as when he was there. It was like going to tour an historic home, but yet being able to live and sleep there. I look forward to returning. Next time I will try winter and enjoy a fire in the beautiful fireplace! Bill, the property manager was so responsive to any questions etc. we had. He helped make the trip so wonderful. Give it a try!

Loved the Dick Clark House!!
Bill was incredible before, during and after our stay, very helpful, responsive and friendly. The location of the house is priceless, on the lake with its own dock allowed us to play in the lake every day! The house was so fun with the Dick Clark paraphernalia! The owners really kept the house as a great tribute. The only FYI is the master is a loft, no wall or door, but once we told the kids to stay in the game-room until the adults woke up, it was perfect! Our kids rise at 5am so the first morning was a learning experience but the rest of the stay was perfect! The game-room was great for the kids to hang out and play video-games, with their own deck and lake view after swimming in the water all day! We will love to stay there again!

Highly recommend!
I have high expectations having a career in hospitality management and this cabin far exceeded them! The location is literal perfection, the house is just incredible and the thoughtful amenities were well done. I did not “wish I had” anything while I was there which is unique in a cabin environment. We loved to canoe to the island and we loved to sit/relax and look at the birds and squirrels in the trees. Absolute perfection, highly recommend (especially in the quarantine days where you don’t want to leave the house as much). Thank you Bill!

Perfect family getaway
We arrived with a large group of extended family including young children and this house accommodated all of us perfectly. We used the canoe and stand-up paddleboard every day right off the dock and we walked to the nearby beaches along the lake trail. We cooked every night and found the kitchen to be well-stocked. It's a special house full of history and so well maintained and managed. Thank you to Bill for an incredible week. We hope to be back soon!

A very special spot
We had been sheltering in place since early March, so the whole family was in desperate need of a change of scenery. We were nervous about our first venture out, but this property could not have been more perfect. Bill, who manages the property for his neighbor, was exceptionally friendly and helpful and really put us at ease. The house is an idyllic piece of history on a particularly beautiful corner of the lake. The lovingly preserved atmosphere of Dick Clark's original home makes it interesting and unique, and the location offers so much to do. We enjoyed the access right out the door to the stunning path around the lake to the village. Hanging out on the dock was a relaxing way to spend a sunny afternoon, and Bill helped us to arrange a boat trip around the lake which was excellent. We had never been to Lake Arrowhead before, and we will definitely be back!

Chaos and Disappointment
Chaos # 1. I waited two years to rent this cabin (Dick Clark). We arrived on July 26, 2019. After everyone chipped in and brought the groceries in, we immediately started to put groceries in the refrigerator. My daughter noticed that the temperature was at 62 (proof of pictures). Well we figure the housekeepers cleaning the refrigerator set it to this degree. Well, it started to get higher. My daughter-in-law emailed Bill and he said can you please have someone come out. We have $450.00 worth of food we do not want it to go bad. He gets back and says, “No one can come out until next Wednesday” Which is the day before we leave, almost a week later. So, we had three ice chests plus some small ones that we put ice in. We took all the food out and put it in the ice chests. Fortunately, my son-in-law took it upon himself to clean the coils of the refrigerator. This worked although the ice maker did not make ice so we had to get our own ice. Chaos # 2: There was a Yellow Jacket nest on the path that takes you down to water. Got a hold of Bill again. And he said no one can come out until Monday. Ok, so everyone sees the yellow jackets coming out of the hole at the bottom of the stairs. We try to stay clear of the hole, but my oldest grandson got stung first. Monday pest control comes and my daughter shows him where they are and she gets stung. Then another person comes and he said he could see them from the balcony. He said I will get rid of them and by tomorrow morning they will be gone. He was 100% correct and no more yellow jackets to be seen.Chaos # 3. My daughter, daughter-in-law and myself smelled gas from the grill. Called Bill again. He said put fans around the smell. And he would get someone out there. Did not give a time. The three of us waited until 4:30 pm that day which was shot for us. The person gets there that is a friend of Bill’s, who had been drinking (arrives by boat) and who was rude on the phone to my daughter-in-law and rude to everyone and argued with us about whether it was propane or natural gas! Who cares? It’s leaking gas! He fixed it by turning off the gas and did apologize for not getting there sooner. After no more chaos we were able as a family to enjoy the few days left that we had on the lake. But I shouldn’t have had to deal with things that were Bill’s responsibility not mine. I know Mr. Clark (Dick Clark) would of never talk to us in this manner or as a landlord not get things fixed. Sad Bill never said sorry.

It is disappointing when we have a guest who's expectations are not met, or circumstances result in a less than memorable trip. I am truly sorry that Anna and her family did have the vacation they hoped for. As circumstance came up, we did our best to reconcile them. Unfortunately, some of the issues were beyond our control. Some were relatively quick fixes as was addressed. Other issues (such as bee stings) although unfortunate are outside our control. We know that Anna's intent was to have the best vacation possible for her family and we hope that Anna and her family will find the next vacation they take will exceed her expectations. I believe this was an isolated situation, as our guest reviews just prior and immediately following their stay were very positive. We do take our guest comments to heart and the owners do their best to make improvements based on guest comments. In Anna's case, she wanted a paddle board and the owners went out and purchased one so that Anna's family would have one for their vacation.

FUN,FUN,FUN 7 MORE FUN
THIS :CHATEAU WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. PROOF: THERE WERE 4 BOYS, AGES II TO 14 WHO SPENT 8-10 HRS EACH DAY ON THE DOCK, LAKE, DIVING, SWIMMING AND CATCHING FOOTBALL PASSES. THE ADULTS ENJOYED JUST SITTING, RESTING, NAPPING, AND, OF COURSE, EATING. TELEVISION, OTHER THAN LISTENING TO MUSIC, WAS HARDLY WATCHED. THE BALCONIES ARE GREAT AREAS FOR GOOD CONVERSATION COUPLED WITH WINE. I COULD GO ON AND ON, BUT SUFFICE IT STAY WE WISHED FOR MORE TIME WITH DICK CLARK'S GREAT ESCAPE. WE WILL RETURN. TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS DON'T DELAY YOU'LL REGRET IT.

A step back in time
I rented this house for part of my wedding party for my wedding weekend. I stayed in another house a few doors down but visited the house a few times. The owners work hard to preserve this house and it does not disappoint. My bridesmaids and their significant others that stayed in the house absolutely loved it. The decorations, the space, the view. The kitchen is pretty updated and fulfilled their needs with ease. There are so many hidden gems in the house so make sure you take the time to look at all the details. During my first visit, and every tour I gave after to guests and friends over the weekend, it feels like the house just keeps going. My dad mentioned they utilize their space very well and I have to agree. Finding it at first can be a little difficult since it is on a private drive but after visiting it once it is easy to find. The location is very convenient- there's a grocery store and movie theater down the street. It is within a 5 min drive (15-20 min walk) from the resort and therefore it is also very close to town. Absolutely no complaints from me or the other guests.

If you are into staying at a lovely mountain cabin and enjoy the seeing some of the memorabilia of American Rock and Roll, then this is the place for you. Dick and Arlene Clark loved this place for 26 years and it was their favorite hideaway from Tinsel Town. Come and see for yourself!

Great Location and Fun Family Stay
Thank you for a wonderful Labor Day weekend at Lake Arrowhead! The cabin is in a great location on the lake. The quiet cove it is on allows for wave-free kayaking, row-boating and swimming. Best of all was the lake trail that crosses the property. From that trail, it was a 15 minute walk along the lake shore and among the trees to the village, which saved us the hassle of driving and trying to find parking on a busy weekend. The cabin itself was in good shape and the layout is good for families. The downstairs, with two bedrooms, two bunk beds and a game room, was perfect for the kids to hang out, while the adults enjoyed the main floor living room, kitchen and deck. It is also located walking distance (or a very short drive) to the stores in Blue Jay, where you can pick up groceries or Starbucks. The owner, Bill, was very responsive and even lent us his canoe for the weekend (in addition to the kayak, rowboat, and inflatable rafts at the property). He also put us in touch with a friend who took us out on his private boat for a lake tour and knee-boarding. We had a great time and will definitely come back for our next trip to Lake Arrowhead.

Family Time and Trying New Things!
Absolutely loved our time at this beautiful lakefront cabin! Grandchildren learned to fish off the dock and kayak, adults had the perfect shaded spot to watch. Loved the game room with the TV/videos. Enjoyed LouEddie's Pizza while watching movies. Learned to water ski in the village at McKenzie's. Got up the first time! It was an absolutely perfect long weekend! One side note....there are stairs everywhere so be prepared....my Fitbit showed a total of 16 flights of stairs in one day. We all appreciated the workout!

Enjoy a bit of celebrity history at this great lakefront home where Dick Clark and his wife spent many weekends over 26 years of their marriage. House was FUN to be in
If your looking for an old school cabin feel, this house is all that. Beautiful Views and well maintained! The only flaw is when it snows it's difficult to go up and down the stairs. Pretty sure everything else will make up for it. Has plenty of room, nice and cozy!
