“Cute cabin, very primitive”

“We were tired of being around all the tourists and wanted something that said “Welcome to Colorado”. This was the place. We received emails from the resort with detailed directions on driving and registration that were easy to follow. The five mile drive up the gravel road took a little longer than expected because a flock of sheep that decided they needed to cross the road in front of us! We had dinner in the restaurant that was good. Many locals were there eating as well. It happened to be……

“If you are staying in Silverton, stop in at the Avon. Historical, clean, quiet and reasonable.”

“The room needed so updating. The on site restaurant was nice. The pool area was nice.”

“We were deceived by advertisements. No room to set up suitcases or move. The toilet was down the hall and the shower was down hall around the corner. Mosquitoes kept me awake. Half a roll of toilet paper. Only one electric outlet. Our window view had their junk pile. If your looking for inconvenience and misery , this is the place for you.”

“This was our second time to stay at Teller House. We came to Silverton in December and fell in love and came back to get married. We stayed at Teller House for 4 days . It’s absolutely perfect for us. Know there are no TVs in the rooms (perfect!) there is no AC ( no bother to us ) and the rooms are all in the upstairs of this “house”. Please be mindful when checking into your room , especially if you are checking in late. People can hear you if are loud. Rooms are kept very clean while you stay……

“It was a beautiful place! Loved our location. Close to the hot springs pools and right on the river. We could see and hear it from our rooms balcony. Slept with the window open and listened to it all night and it was awesome. There was also a trail loop that ran along the river that you could just hop on and enjoy. We walked it with our 6 year old and had a young buck come right in front of us to cross to the river for a drink. Our son was floored about it. The room was comfortable and……
