The property had good running hot and cold water, but it was a small rustic cottage with small bathrooms and old curtains with natural wood siding inside and out. The smell was musty in the rooms, the mattresses were older, rooms are unrefundable.
Lighting was limited but we had a safe trip at the Amber Lodge cottages.

They very cute little cottages with lampost lights in a cleared wooded area. Very peacefull and realxing. Extremely comfortable is you like the outdoor camping experience with out having to pitch a tent and sleep on air mattresses - I would highly recommend this location. If your an AM coffee drinker you may want to bring a small coffee pot

The room, was clean towels very white and organized toilet and bathroom very clean Room smelled little musty but not too bad. we loved the place it has a small refrigerator, bathroom is little for a tall guy but made it work. we will definitely come back We enjoy places like this, in the rustic side. it could use a little upgrade not to make it modern but a bit more comfortable But it is great the way it is.

Basic 1960s vintage style cabin. 5000btu wall AC (Windows all opened and note telling us to turn AC off when not in cabin) Reminded me of camping with my family in the 1960s. Basic accommodation but ok for a weekend. outdoor pool. Parking directly next to cabin. Tiny bathroom standup shower only towels yes soap or shampoo no Was ok for a couple but tight for four. No Soda machine or Ice machine. Local deli across the road was overpriced rip off as they wanted $5.50 for a bag of ice we recommend a short 15 min drive to Queenstown to $ tree for soda ice or other items

It was an absolutely beautiful cottage. It’s pet friendly. It’s well stocked with plates and utensils as well as dish soap and a dish drying rack. It was a perfect place to stay.

Our room was clean and a cool breeze at night allowed us to leave most of our windows open to enjoy the fresh air. The room felt more spacious due to an A-frame type roof. A few things we would recommend are a ceiling fan, an extra table next to the bed, more outlets near the headboard for those using necessary electrical devices, and a light above the refrigerator. The bathroom was adequate, but it was a bit of a struggle showering in the small space, a small shelf for shampoo and conditioner would help guests, and it was somewhat difficult adjusting the water temperature. There was a small shelf for toiletries below the window. Two more hooks on the bathroom door for towels to dry would be very helpful, and grab bar/s for older guests to assist getting up off the toilet in the small confines should be a must. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Amber Lanteen again. Our host was extremely helpful and kind. The property offered multiple game and play areas for both children and adults in addition the the swimming pool.
