Beautiful home with superb lake view!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this home. There was plenty of room for everyone. Great location and view! Note that the VRBO listing mentions AC, however, this means a window unit in each bedroom. Not clear on the listing. Weather was mild, so this wasn't an issue. Cute little town nearby as well.

Aframe home on Schroon Lake
The home itself & lake location were beautiful but we did have some issues. Upon arrival all window air conditioners were on but each indicated dirty filter. When cooking dinner that night we discovered the grill & the utensils were dirty & propane was low, but there was a spare tank. The lower level with the air hockey table & games had musty odor & could use dehumidifier. We encountered spider crickets on lower level & later in living room & kitchen. These bugs are BIG! No way to light outdoor fire unless bring lighter from home. Area had bad storms 4th day of trip which knocked power out for the rest of our week. Only found one flashlight in house & noticed strong dog odor without central air running for several days. Listing indicated no pets which we look for as we have someone with allergies & asthma. No generator available so we ended up checking out a day early. Slow communication with owner through VRBO but good communication with local VACASA representative.

A Lovely Adirondack cottage on a beaufitul lake.
Property was clean and well equipped with anything we needed. Decor was Adirondack themed and attractive. Property description is inadequate and does not include reference to the many steep steps required to get from the cottage to the dock. Not a suitable location for anyone using a walker or wheelchair, or with other mobility issues. Web site photos of the exterior do not indicate that this is anything other than a normal lakefront property, when in fact it is on what can reasonably be described as a small cliff. Stair railings on the steps down from the cottage to the lake (an there are over 40 of them!)are difficult to grasp. The interior of the cottage is excellent,

Absolutely beautiful setting and home. Lovely fall colors. Only tiny negatives that have to do with trash, torn screen, no firewood, no life jackets, and no paper towels. But they were only small issues compared to the overall beauty and location.

Cute Lake house
The home is just as it is presented in the pictures. Like other reviewers have stated, the view is spectacular. This truly is waterfront property. The kitchen is stocked with whatever appliances/pots or pans you need to cook. The only true negative is that it could have been cleaner. While the home I.e rooms, bathrooms, fridge etc. were clean, the oven and grill definitely needed cleaning. Also - communication from management needs to be much better. Overall, we did enjoy our stay here and I would return to this property in the future.

Wonderful fall stay at this beautiful lakefront home
The view is not really Highlighted in the listing which is a shame because it is the best feature. The house is situated perfectly. Lots of extras like nice decking and plenty of kayaks, nice Adirondack style furniture, fire pit and extra room downstairs. Only disappointment is the door to the main deck does not open.

We had 4 adults and 2 children. 1 being a 5 year old. We had a great time in the 5 days we were there. The house is beautiful and there is everything you need for your stay. The 5/year old loved jumping off the end of the dock into the lake. You can not go wrong with this house, we will be back again.

Lakefront House
We have been coming to this area for many years so thankfully we were able to make arrangements at the local marina to dock our boat. The advertised boat dock wasn't even in place when we arrived, therefore when we arrived at check in after 4pm we had no place to put our boat. There was no space to bring the boat or trailer down to the actual property. The property manager was readily available the next day and had the dock put in after our third day there. If you are looking for lakefront property and want to dock your boat this may not be what you are looking for. Once the dock was put in place it was a very cheap aluminum flimsy dock. It was 6-10 inches under water for our entire stay. The house furnishings were all new and appliances all in working order. There was a significant ant problem in the kitchen and the basement sump pump was overflowing with water so the basement was always very wet. The washer and dryer were up on blocks so I suspect this is a recurring problem. It really doesn't have a "rec room" as advertised. We were very quiet but the neighbors that live there year round were unfriendly and felt the need to let us know that they don't like the house being rental property. It is on the crowded West side of the lake so it gets the full sun into the house all day long. It gets very warm in the general living space despite the AC running. It was a very cute house with all the Adirondack themed furniture. With an improved dock and better maintenance of the property it could be a better rental property. We won't be staying at this property again.
