"Very nice hotel, good location "

"This hotel is old and the walls are very thin. It was also under construction which was not communicated to me beforehand (by hotels.com) and they put us right next to the construction. Needless to say, there was no sleeping in on vacation. Plus there was no pool or spa available. I doubt we will stay there again despite how friendly the staff were. "

"Parking was horrible due to construction. Loud boulder noise daily from construction. Was unaware of the renovation until arrival. Did not get a King size and Queen size bed in the room as requested. Was not aware that if any room changes requested that we need to notify both parties (Expedia and LaJolla Cove hotel). Only stayed from 24 March 2026. - 26 March 2026 for a wedding event. Departed early 27 March 2026."

"Clean property! Our place was perfect for the family. It was nice having a full kitchen so we could cook and lots of shopping nearby. Pools were great. The kids enjoyed the waterside especially, as well as the arcade/ game rooms. I enjoyed the gym amenities.... equipmemt was much more than most hotel type places. It was convenient having everything in one place. "

"The staff was absolutely amazing and doing everything they could to make the stay great, but unfortunately, they seemed very understaffed from check-in to breakfast to the cleanliness of the rooms. The biggest opportunity was definitely in the cleanliness of the rooms. The sheets were not clean once we pulled back the sheets there was hair in there. The carpets need to be shampooed and the pillows had an odor again. I want to stress on the fact that I don’t believe it’s from lack of care from want from the staff I do believe it’s from lack of care to inability of them having time to take care of the rooms properly the area of opportunity that needs to be taken. The greatest improvement on is going to be staffing. "

"The room we stayed at smelled like dirty feet but they let us check in early so we didnt ask to get switched to another room ( we were going to be out and about most of our stay so we just stayed in that room.) The air conditioning doesnt seem to work well. I dropped it to lowest setting (60 something degrees) and room still felt stuffy and a little warm at time but again we were mostly there to sleep. Last night when we arrived, no parking. We had to park in a parking garage about a 10 min walk on 3rd floor. There is definitely not enough parking in front or side of hotel and the off site parking was a good walk away. The biggest and most concerning problem was the bed bugs and the way the situation was approached. Housekeeping came and took bugs (2) in a cup and left. Upon checking out my parking of $28 a day was waived. I feel the whole stay should be refunded. This is disgusting. The bed bugs was crawling on my daughters chest. "

"The guy at the front I don’t not remember his name he was hispanic was so sweet upgraded our room for no extra cost was super helpful and rooms were clean and housekeeping was sweet! "

"We stayed here as a family and chose Embassy Suites because we’ve generally had reliable experiences, especially with the included breakfast. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed, which we appreciated. However, this one was somewhat disappointing. The biggest concern was the breakfast on our first morning, I saw a roach in the muffins, which completely turned me off from eating there for the rest of our stay. There were also a few maintenance and upkeep issues. The washing machines on our floor were not working, and we had to go down multiple floors just to dry towels, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was a small hole in the couch, and the patio furniture showed noticeable wear and tear and could use updating. Overall, while the stay was okay, these issues made it fall short of what we typically expect from Embassy Suites, especially for the price. "

"From the moment my family & I checked in, I had a great experience. I was greeted by Sergio he was very helpful & polite. The room was clean & bed was very comfy. The microwave & fridge came in handy. My grandkids had a blast in the pool & hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was so delicious, they served eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt. I can go on & on. Overall my stay was awesome. I will definitely be coming back the next time the family is in Carlsbad for legoland."
