The property has a large yard to relax in. The beds were comfortable. Location was good to the area hikes and fairly close to Lake Placid.

Very comfortable and the perfect place to stay for fly fishing in summer season 2025. Rivers very low, which made Lake Everest and below the dam the spot to fly fish for big trout. Relaxing on the deck, napping in the gazebo, safe and smooth kayaking, well stocked house and comfy beds made our stay beyond wonderful.

Property was great! We would definitely stay again in the future. Everything was clean and had lots of room for our entire family of 6 adults and 3 children 3yrs and under. Loved hanging out on the front porch, the gazebo, the deck overlooking the water and the fire pit. The hottub was a great added bonus! Very convenient to local attractions. We went over to lake placid. High falls gorge and Santa's workshop. We walked over to a pizza restaurant (very good) for dinner one night and drove to the country bears diner for breakfast.

Perfect hiking/skiing vacation spot

The location was perfect for high peaks hiking and skiing at Whiteface. The owners were incredibly responsive for all my questions. The property was lovely and the hot tub amazing

Thanksgiving at ADK

The property was clean the hot tub and fireplace were so cozy. We stayed over Thanksgiving and the entire experience was almost like out of a movie. Would 100% do it again.

While we were on a family ski trip, the location in Wilmington, on the river, and great access to outdoor activities was perfect for us. Everything was "as advertised." Thanks for a great trip!

Excellent place for a group of friends that are peak bagging

This was the perfect place for a small group of friends to go peak bagging. The hot tub was greatly appreciated for after long hiking days. We have already asked about booking for next year.

Location Location Location!

Four seventy-something women had a fantastic time exploring the Olympic Parks, hiking , shopping, … and then to our VRBO home for wine in the hot tub, wine on the deck in awe of color changes on Whiteface, delicious homemade meal with super stocked kitchen, and finally sleeping soundly in very comfy beds! Perfect vacation!

Great place for fishing & hiking.

We enjoyed hiking every day from the nearby trailheads, as well as fishing for trout in the backyard, kayaking and canoeing. The place is an outdoorsy heaven. My only advice is to make a stop early on in Lake placid for groceries (about 20 minutes away). Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great location

The cottage is conveniently located in Wilmington. Huge compound with access to the nearby Ausable River. Clean and comfortable beds, in general the cottage was very clean and easy to be heated. Very easy check in procedure and almost instantaneous communication with the host.

Lake Placid Getaway

Location, location, location. If you're looking for a property near Veterans Highway, Lake Placid and the Olympic Ski Jumps this is the place for you. The property has plenty of room to relax in outdoor settings. And oh, a hot tub. Had a great stay.

Great rental for weekend getaway

A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.
