Lake views

We stayed here for six days. It is a cute apartment with access to the water and lake views. The only problem with the place was the severely sloped ceiling in the bedroom and the tiny end tables. I hit my head several times trying to go to bed. The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked. The deck outside was nice with a gas grill. My dog loved it so much she did want to leave- I had to carry her to the car! The area around the lake was fun to explore, especially the breweries and wineries. We would definitely come back.

Property was cleanest short term rental I have ever stayed at. Eveything worked as it should. Beautiful view of Chautauqua Lake. Not a good bedroom for tall people with the slanted roof. We had an issue with the internet, but the owner had it fixed within 15 minutes and we had no further issues. We would stay here again.

My husband and I just got married over the weekend and wanted to wait until next year to take a big tropical honeymoon. We still wanted to find a place to go to immediately after our wedding that wasn't too far from Pittsburgh and spend some alone time together. I came across this listing and it sounded perfect. I had only heard good things about Lake Chautauqua and it is just as beautiful in person. This cottage is small, but perfect for 2 people. It does have a sloped ceiling which makes some spots difficult for tall people so you do have to watch your head. It is a great price for a place on the water's edge. We enjoyed the view from the dock and having a fire down by the lakeside. There are some great restaurants nearby also. We also visited Barcelona beach in Erie.

The cottage was actually hard to find. There are no numbers anywhere on the cottage or even a mailbox , we had to look at pictures of the cottage via the website to make sure we were at the correct location. We were sitting on the deck when a truck was driving through the property (I assume the owners, not sure) and they were taking a boat out of the water. It made us feel awkward, like we couldn’t leave the deck. Then grilling dinner on the deck and the truck and boat are now on the side of the deck. Not so private. And could never find the 1/2 bath that was stated in property details.
