Our charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage in Lakeside, Michigan offers a delightful retreat for up to 8 guests. Located in the beautiful southwest region of the state, it is conveniently close to Cherry Beach, Townline Beach, and Harbert Beach. Additionally, popular destinations such as New Buffalo, Sawyer, Union Pier, and St. Joseph are easily accessible, ensuring you have a variety of activities and dining options to explore.
The cottage boasts a tastefully decorated interior, with attention given to every detail. The warm and inviting living room features a cozy gas fireplace, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. If you enjoy cooking, you'll love the designer kitchen, which is fully equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals and set a beautiful table.
Sleeping arrangements include a spacious main bedroom with a king-sized bed and a second bedroom furnished with a queen-sized bed and a twin bed. The pull out sofa in the living room is a queen bed and the sofa off the kitchen is a twin, The home boasts 2 full baths, 1 with a tub and the other a shower. The cottage also features a fantastic outdoor area, including an outdoor shower, a large grill connected to mains gas, a fire pit for cozy evenings, and a wraparound deck with outdoor furniture and dining table.. For added convenience, there's a whole house generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
On balmy summer evenings, you can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors from the fully enclosed screened porch. If you're a beach lover, the cottage is just 2.5 blocks away from Pier St. Beach, which has recently reopened with new steps, offers a picturesque setting for sunset viewing. Please note that the beach size may vary depending on the day.
Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a group retreat, our cottage provides an ideal setting. A minimum rental period of 3 nights is required.

This is a lovely and convenient home. We were there during some pretty extreme heat, so we didn't end up enjoying time on the porches. We'll hopefully be back during slightly cooler weather!

Everything was very nice. The only downside was the main bathroom sick was smaller than a hubcap. The screeed porch had holes in the door and the furniture was very dusty. I’m not sure if we were the first ones to go out there, but we had to wipe everything down and shake out the dust. Other than that it was lovely.

We very much enjoyed spending time at the Dunedin Cottage. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed reading a book on the screened in porch when the weather was bad. Their backyard was really our oasis. It was so quiet and provided that rest and relaxation we were looking for away from all the city noise.

We came to Michigan to spend time with a family member who is declining in a nursing home. This home was perfect for what our needs were. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe. If the weather would have been better we would have spent a lot more time on the enclosed deck. The kitchen had everything that we needed. There were plenty of sites to visit within 30 minutes.

This was a wonderful stay. The hosts were very fast to respond to all communication. The home was clean, comfortable, and charming. The area was known to us from prior visits to southwest Michigan, and met our expectations for proximity to public lake access and nearby businesses. The property was dog friendly with a good sized fenced yard. There is one lower height spot in the fence that might be a problem for a jumper, but it was no issue for our dogs. It was a nice surprise to find the property decorated for Christmas, which we hadn't expected and really enjoyed.

Love this rental! The house is comfortable and roomy with a big back yard. Lots of amenities. We enjoyed the big kitchen and eating area for our family. The screened in porch was great for playing boardgames at night. Our dogs loved exploring their large, fenced in property. Most of all, the location is ideal...a quick walk to a spectacular sunset view and beach at the end of Pier Street. Also, so many wineries, breweries and local shops nearby.

Charming cottage. Short walk to the beach. Fenced in yard was a plus for my dog. No dogs allowed at the beach but Warren Dunes State Park is nearby which allows dogs. Comfortable beds. It was a bit chilly for our stay, gas fireplace was lovely. Loved that it was in between New Buffalo and St Joe for the food options. Would definitely stay again. Great hosts. Thank you!

This cottage is lovely, clean spacious and in a very quiet neighborhood. My friend and I spent the week here as we live in different states and wanted to have some fun together and catch up. There is a great screened in porch on the side of the house with a ceiling fan which is a wonderful place to hang out on, on hot days. The gardens are lovely and the back garden is quite large. My dog was very happy with that. The hosts were very responsive to any needs we had. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and are happy that we chose this particular cottage.

Judy and Peter were wonderful hosts! They were always available when you needed them. Getting access to the home was simple. Beautiful home and I especially loved the kitchen, did a lot of cooking in there. Loved the fireplace and outdoor space as well.

Came with my best friend for a few days away and were so happy with our stay-we were trying to figure out to stay forever! The cottage was incredibly comfortable and sweet, with everything you could need, and was decorated so nicely. The owners were amazing and incredibly attentive. We cannot wait to come back!

We enjoyed staying at the cottage around Christmas time. The cottage is elegantly decorated with antiques throughout and full of charm. There is a high attention to the little details that made our stay extra comfortable. Judy was lovely to work with and everything went smoothly. Our kids loved the yard and to explore the surrounding area.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very comfortable (cute, but not TOO cute) and the street is quiet and pretty secluded. The neighborhood was perfect for long walks. Great backyard four lounging around. We did have a little trouble getting in --- the door is controlled by a by an app that you need to download and set up before you arrive. I have an older phone and so it was not working as it should. But the gracious and attentive owners provided keys and so it all worked out.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage nestled on a quiet street near the main road. We were not able to enjoy the outdoors or the beautiful screened porch because it was rainy and cold We really appreciated the two bathrooms because the very small bathroom sink closer to the master bedroom frequently filled up (we used the DRANO which didn’t help much). The check-in process was resolved (the door lock opening/closing app was not working) because the owners were available to remedy the situation. The king-size bed mattress was comfortable. Our recommendations are to stock at least coffee (we never found any) and to clearly designate if the towels hung are clean (some were hastily placed and we weren’t sure). Also, there were towels left in the dryer but we were afraid to use them in case the previous guest mistakenly put the towels in the dryer instead of on the floor (as provided in the instructions). I think during COVID times it is important to somehow let guests know that the towels are freshly cleaned - maybe place them on the dining room table with a “note”? All in all, we enjoyed our visit and thank you!
