"Remote staff consistent with many nice hotels in small towns. Clean and comfortable. Spartan, but all expected accoutrements provided (blow dryer). No outside windows but that helps with sleeping late and is expected when an old mercantile is converted to hostelry. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. "

"Conveniently located for birders, with a friendly and accommodating staff. Once we figured out how the faucet worked, there was plenty of hot water for nice long showers. Overall, this was a clean and comfy room at a reasonable price - and Bertram is a charming small town to explore."
