The house was well thought out and in a beautiful location. Unfortunately it was not well maintained, needed upgrades, and was dirty. There were stains on rugs in the bathroom that needed washing and when I searched for a plug under the bed it was so dusty I didn't want to reach under to plug my phone in. An extension chord would have been nice. There were some 'muffins' to eat downstairs but I took a bite and they were hard and tasteless. There was only one sugary coffee creamer, no half and half or milk. The breakfast was at 8;30, too late for me. The girl that checked me in was friendly but not overly. I did not want to give a bad review because I feared they may be struggling and am sorry to do so.

Perfect special weekend

We stayed here over the weekend of June 20th for our 6-month wedding anniversary. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. A gorgeous home, wonderful atmosphere, and mostly, Rachel and her family were so warm and inviting, and provided a wealth of information about the property because my husband and I are old house geeks. Delicious breakfast. And Buttercup was the perfect 4-legged hostess. We fell in love with the little town of Marietta, PA. We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful grounds overlooking a lake. Nice wraparound porch to relax. I was upgraded as a large group came in so the innkeeper put me in a quiet room with private bath. Breakfast was superb! Recommend if you need a place to relax in Marietta area!

We got to the property we booked and were told that it was completely booked. We drove following the innkeeper about a mile and one half to a sister property. We couldn't get in the front door so had to access the property through a backyard that was overgrown with tall weeds and plants and walk up 2 flights of stairs. The house was an old Colonial that needed work and was not as clean as it should be. We had not been notified ahead of time of the change.

I stayed here with my hubby and 3 friends. We booked the suite and have 2 rooms. They were very nice and the property was lovely. If I can convince more of my friends and family to stay I would love to rent the whole house one day/weekend. Future goals. Getting an uber home from the near by brewery was hard at 11pm. They had a lovely porch that we sat on before going out for the night. We have a few drinks while we watched a storm roll in. They have a fire pit and hot tub we didn’t use. It’s an old house but they make it work. Breakfast was also wonderful. Thank you ladies. Can’t wait to see the ducks next time we came and buttercup was a very seeet dog!
