"From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed by two lovely young women. They were very friendly and chexk in was a breeze. The room was clean , well equipped and quiet. The facility well maintained. The continental breakfast was very good. We would stay again!"

"We loved the cottage! The bay was so close that even when you were inside you felt like you were on the beach. The sunsets were AMAZING. The neighbors were very quiet, the beach was private and the cottage was clean- leading to a nice, relaxing trip full of kayaking, fishing, reading on the beach and floating on the bay. Mathews area is our favorite spot due to the close proximity to groceries, restaurants and day trips. "

"This place was perfect for my needs. A clean, safe place, to rest my head and a way above average staff. The staff were so kind and helpful. I wouldn’t think twice about booking with this place again. The ONLY issue we had was that the pool is not open. Not a deal breaker but it was not listed as closed and so we were expecting it to be open. We survived, lol."

Kitchen was quaint and perfect for all cooking needs! I would go again! It was a wonderful time! Close to lots of great beaches! Great learning opportunities bc of all its museums and historical sites! 10/10! Spend some time relaxing in VA at Kimary Cove! "

"We had a great stay at Edgewater Retreat. Our family of 5 (adults) were in the area for a wedding. The house was just 10 minutes away, which made it so convenient for the festivities. Everything was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked. Our only issue was the coffee maker didn’t work, which I think was damaged due to recent storms (we let Chris know and he was going to replace it). Thankfully, the house is equipped with a generator because we were hit with a wicked storm while at the wedding. Power was out but not at Edgewater! "
